Just relax and take a deep breath...

After the last few weeks we've had, maybe we just need a little break from the trauma and the drama. The unlikely re-election of Obama, the unanswered questions about Benghazi, the unanswered questions about Fast & Furious, the tanking economy, and the death of Twinkies. We just need to regroup and gather our thoughts. And what better way to clear our minds than to ponder... puppies and kittens! So take a deep breath, clear your mind for awhile and let the cuteness wrap around you like a warm blanket...

You just can't be mad when there's a kitten in a hat!

Can you use a friend?

Take a deep breath...

Are you all better now?

Aaaahhh, now wasn't that better? Now we can discuss something important like....?

  1. Wow. Alien cat beasts and the larval stage of the ugliest dog monster in creation.

The beagle pup is okay though.

  2. K - What ARE we going to do with you?? Though I do have to agree with you about cats. They ARE alien beasts who are above all earthly laws...

Hey, the little bulldog is cute...come on...you think it is...admit it...ADMIT IT!!!

  3. Bev - when it comes to cute cats on the Internet, I'm a fan of this little gal.

I also sent you an e-mail a week ago, just catching up. :-)

My folks went out last night to the supermarket... no Twinkies! My dad bought some other Hostess cakes, wrapped them up, and is currently keeping them in the freezer. I have no idea when he plans to open them but I just know we're all gonna forget about them!

I picked up a pack of Zingers from 7/11 this morning. I needed them like a hole in the head!

  4. Scott, Zingers are strangely unsatisfying. I'm not sure why.

Bev, Maybe we should replace the blog with one of those "digital fish tank" applets?

  5. little bulldog is cute

Oh! It's a bulldog? My mistake. I thought for a moment that the poor little creature was a normal dog that had been dropped from a great height onto it's face. Which accounted for the nose being smashed up into the face and the body severely contracted such that the skin no longer fit.

Okay. I guess that with the proviso that the standard bulldog is a horrifying saliva spewing abomination then this one would qualify as a "cute" example of the breed.

Always go along to get along is my motto.

  6. Andrew - Maybe a digital fish tank in the summer months and at Christmas we can switch to a digital fireplace! Nah...

  7. Bev, Sadly, if we do that, then ePeta will be on our case about enslaving efish and eEnvironmentalists will be on our case about burning eCarbon. Maybe we should just skip to the chase and burn the fish?!

  8. K, LOL! Gravity can be a cruel mistress!

    ReplyDelete
  9. But we can offset eCarboncredits enslaving efish AND burning eWood with a eForest in the Autumn and an eBabblingbrook in the Springtime!

  10. Andrew & K - I am surprised that Mayor Bloomberg has not tried to repeal the Laws of Gravity because it harms so many people and animals!

  11. Good point! Now we just need to offset the obvious pro-Christian message of a fireplace in winter -- which we all know is an exclusive symbol meaning "white Christians only."

Maybe we could sponsor a couple of the rockets being fired into Israel? That seems to be a good way to make the world overlook religious bigotry. Yep, it's a real crowd pleaser.

  12. Bev, Gravity is indeed a menace, but he won't repeal gravity because the gravity lobby is a big supporter of the unions.

  13. Andrew - Oooooh, those eveel Christian wood burning Yule log menaces!

Oh, and, is it just me or has our Dear Leader been kinda' silent while Israel is under firebomb. Well, then maybe the rest of the world has been kind of silent too...except Egypt and Iran.

  14. Bev, I'll give him this... the State Department has fully endorsed Israel's actions.

BUT he has not said anything publicly that I'm aware of. And they only jumped into action to "try to find a ceasefire" after Israel struck back -- they didn't seem to care that Hamas has been bombing Israel for a month before that.

  15. T-Rav will really appreciate those kitty photos, I bet.

(unless he isn't taking his goofballs, that is, in which case he will become Norman Bates pyschotic).

(is it true that goofballs is now considered an "insensitive" term for psychotic medication? jest wondering).

(not that I'll stop using the term. It'll make a comeback someday, in the distant or not-so-distant, non-pc dystopian future. So will smoking, which is why everyone smokes during apocalypses).

    ReplyDelete
  16. I know about the smoking during apocalpses because I can't recall an apocalyptic type of film that didn't have the survivors smoking.

Probably due to the depressing nature of apocalypses. That and no tobacco tax.

Incidently, the survival rate of Boomberg types during apocalypses is approximately 30 seconds if they are run. Less than a second if they try to tell folks what to do without running.

I guess it's true then. Every apocalpse now has a silver lining. :^)

  17. Ben, "Goofballs" is probably not PC anymore, but who cares? I'm not giving up good words just because some retards get upset.

  18. Innocent doe eyed kitty cats and puppy dogs....

How long before Obama demands they are taxed

    ReplyDelete
  19. Andrew, LOL! I hear ya. IMO goofballs would be preferable to psycho drugs (I'd rather be goofy than psychotic but there are occasions where psychotic can come in handy. Particularly during an apocalypse now...or later) but that's just me.

    ReplyDelete
  20. So what exactly IS the plural for "apocalypse"? Apocalysae? Apocalae? Maybe you can't have more than one or maybe it's a mass noun like "hair". Any thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  21. One would assume you couldn't have more than apocalypse. According to the definition who would be around for the second one?

Cockroaches perhaps? Keith Richards(old joke, Ben did mention psycho drugs)?

Andrew, if PC had it's way they would have to eventually ban all words. Based on the logic that banning a word, thus using another word in it's place. Would result in that word being banned, and so forth...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Max, Very true. They will slowly ban the world, word by word.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bev, I believe it is "Apocalypso." And it comes with steel drums.

  24. "Andrew, if PC had it's way they would have to eventually ban all words. Based on the logic that banning a word, thus using another word in it's place. Would result in that word being banned, and so forth..."

Or just move to Newspeak with words like doubleplusgood and bellyfeel.

  25. Bev, I appreciate your efforts with the kitten pix. and the beagle. I have to agree with K on the bulldog.
