Untitled Rant...

I just have to get something off my chest. What the wrong with the Left these days? Have they lost their freakin' minds? Two incidences hit the world this weekend: 1st the below "tweet" that was passed on to me by one of the people that I follow. Then the disgraceful rant at the Golden Globes...

First off, this tweet was passed along sometime yesterday afternoon by someone that I follow on Twitter:

This actually made my head explode (and I am still cleaning up the mess...) This stupid woman founded a company in Silicon Valley that "tweets digitial marketing, growth, and analytics". Well, let's just say that her "tweet" created a sh#tstorm in responses once it hit Middle America who oddly did not take too kindly to it. It ended sometime in the evening with her initially posting a tweet "Gone Fishing". After an hour or so when the furor did not die down, she posted one of those non-apology apologies about not meaning to insult anyone with her "inartful" tweet. [As an side: I am not really sure how what she wrote could ever be written in any "artful" way to make it less condescending and insulting, but that's just me. Maybe adding a photo of Michelagelo's David or Edvard Munch's "The Scream" perhaps?]

Let's just say that it probably was not a good choice for the founder of a tech marketing company that tweets digital marketing, growth, and analytics to post. I have a sneaking suspicion that perhaps her mea culpa was brought on when one of her moneyed clients or a board member contacted her to ask "What the h-e-double-hockey-sticks were you thinking? Do you know that you just destroy the company?". Which is probably why, in the 20 minutes that it took me to take a screen shot tonight and do a few other things, her account and that of her company TimeShareCMO went into full damage control lockdown mode and all Ms. Byerley's tweets were tucked safely away from prying Middle American eyes.

Which takes me to the second part of my untitled rant - Sunday night's broadcast of the Golden Globes. Now, in all fairness, I did not watch the Golden Globes mainly because I just didn't want to. I knew exactly what was going to happen and chose not to tune in. And after reading the newspaper this morning, I just couldn't bring myself to actually listen to the YouTube replays of Meryl Streep and others droning on about how it's the end of the world as we know it now that the Clinton presidency has been overthrown by Russia, and only through the leadership of Hollywood actors will we be saved. But if you would like to talk about it please do. This is all I am going to say. They have every right to say what they are going say, but I have every right to not like it and to choose to spend my valuable time and hard-earned cash on something else other than the products that they are selling. They think they have the power, but I have something much more valuable - the power of the purse.

Let's the games begin...

  1. Bev, This is what happens when people losers don't get what they want and they have tantrums. This woman(?) is making itself feel better by telling itself that (s)he's superior to the rest of us.

    People like this are worthless.

As an aside, I find it funny that "her" brilliance is riddled with typos and non-sentences. For being a genius, she no English good.

  2. P.S. I had the same thought on the Golden Globes...

So I'm supposed to tune in so a bunch of low intelligence narcissists who earn a living reading lines written by smarter people can lecture me about how bad I am? I think not.

BTW, I am LOVED in Sudan. I swear. I don't know why I said that, but hey... buy my stuff.

  3. Someone sending out a poorly thought out, inflammatory tweet? Sad!

I don't care one way or the other about the Golden Globes or the opinions of its nominees. The fact they are rich and famous doesn't make their opinions any more valid than anyone else's.

  4. I didn't watch the Globes. Stranger Things didn't win anything so I'm glad I didn't.

  6. There is so much wrong with that tweet, all I can say at the moment is, "That's how you got Trump!"

  7. UPDATE: It's a gift that keep's on giving...now I know why her and her company's Twitter account went "private" as in no one allowed to see up but approved/verified people LINK

It seems people/companies with glass houses shouldn't throw twitter bombs about how small-minded and xenophobic these rural bigots are. See, now with the invention of the "interwebs", some people dig deeper and find that one fatal human flaw...oops. They in pitch to potential clients that...

" I've hand picked and trained a team of experts, all located in the United States and native English speakers, to execute the work you need, fast."

Translation in to Native/Plain English: If you aren't born here, you can't work here.

  8. Bev,

Hiring only "native English speakers" is also very illegal.

  9. By the way, unless Sessions is caught spewing N-words while in bed with a "live boy or dead girl" then he is going to get the nomination.

  10. For the record, there are very good reasons to oppose Sessions. Namely, his support for civil asset forfeiture. But the Democrats, who could probably make some very strong headway on that issue, are focusing on trying to prove he's a racist because it worked so well in 2016.

  11. Bev, Don't worry. They may all be native English speakers, but each one has been certified to have engaged in a homosexual affair with a handicapped shaman of non-english-speaking origin. They are pure as the driven sno... er, um, something not white.

  12. Kit, I don't think they think they can stop him. They just want to tar him because that's what they do.

  13. *Watches Sessions hearing protests and sees Ira Madison III's tweets about Session's grand-daughter*

The Democrats are trying to re-elect Donald Trump in 2020. I know they are. I just know they are!

  14. Kit - Yeah, funny how that discrimination in the hiring is somehow illegal. It just goes to show "don't put anything in writing on a public company website that might be used against you or said company in a court of law and/or opinion". It can be really bad for business.

  15. OT: Dylann Roof gets the death penalty. Good.

  16. Heard of both things as well as the attack on Sessions' granddaughter and both are disgusting. As has been said earlier it looks like the left really does believe its own propaganda about how anyone who doesn't think like them is a monster besieged by isms and phobias. Funny that she got caught with those hiring practices, though I'm sure that she thought that since she's a good leftist she can't be racist-racist. I guess all we can do is watch the collective meltdown at this point. Also, good call on Roof. He will not be missed.

  17. Roof's death sentence has got to be freaking out all of those liberal death penalty opponents. If ever there was a case for executing someone he is it. Unfortunately he's not in Texas where they would make sure it happened. He didn't put up any fight either.

  18. Oh Bev, you are an amateur when it comes to the liberal mind. Observe...

    1. The death penalty is evil and no one should ever be put to death. Everyone is innocent!

    2. BUT... he was a racist, so he needs to die.

    3. BUT... he was accused by our justice system, so he must have been framed by racist Southern cops!

    4. BUT... he killed black people! Fry him!

    5. BUT... they were in church so we can't blame him for doing this. Religious people suck.

    4. BUT wait... these religious people were blacks, and we tolerate their quaint primitive superstitions. So fry him.

    5. BUT wait... is he really responsible? Wasn't he brainwashed by the NRA?

    6. Why is the world full of racist, hateful conservatives? If the whole world was like me, it would be a wonderful place. I am so fricken amazing. They should let me rule the world.

What? What do we do? Oh, Fry him. He looks guilty to me.

  19. Okay, ya' got me. I am a lightweight! Btw, Andrew, don't miss Obama's Kiss Off To The Natio...er..."Farewell" speech. It just started. Okay, I screamed and turned the channel, but you, as leader of CommentaramaPolitics are supposed to sacrifice yourself on the alter of...well, I can't think of what that might be, but you hafta watch it and report back to us. I am pulling the "weak, frail woman to delicate to endure and fainting on her couch" card! ;-D

  20. Lefties are bigots...pure and simple...

  21. Bev, Andrew, I could be rich right now if I had a nickel for every tweet that starts "I'm against the death penalty but..."

  22. tryanmax, Liberals are highly principled people until their principles get in the way of their prejudices.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sorry, Bev, I couldn't do it. Listening to our Narcissist in Chief stroke himself as an audience of liberals fantasizes about him is too much for me to take. Thank God Hillary didn't win!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, from what I gleen from the from the reports of last night's farewell speech...angels cried and birds fell out of the sky too grief-stricken to keep flying...the seas began to rise and the planet has just been re-diagnosed with a sickness called "Trump-isitis" and may not make it.
