More Democratic Loser-isms

Oh my Friends, the Democrats are not a serious political party. They are an assembly of fools leading the hypersensitive to the promised land of intolerance. And because of that, none of them have the brains God gave them.

Desist: Like a windup dummy that is slowly being w-w-w-w-wou-wouuu-woundup, Hillary is in the midsts of a slow motion comeback. She’s now caught up to where the rest of the left was about a week after the election. Give her a year and she’ll be caught up to the present.

Anyways, this time, she told her “supporters” to “resist, insist, persist, and enlist” in the fight against Trump. // rolls eyes

You know, a couple bands did that and it was cool. They used white cardboard with the words written out. Jesse Jackass used to do that verbally, though he often struggled to find rhymes. When Hillary does it, it’s like an assh*le teacher trying to be hip as she reads off a cue card. So let me suggest that she desist as an activist or a lyricist, and just exist on history’s list of those who won’t be missed, because she’s just a cist that needs to be diminished. Go away.

Deranged: Showing that the Democrats are not a serious party, they are pushing to investigate Treasury Secretary Mnuchin for joking that people should go see The Lego Movie. Democrat Ron Wyden ran his swishy little ass to the ethics office when Mnuchin said this and filed a complaint that Mnuchin was trying to use his public office to enrich himself. What a bizarre and twisted little b*tch Wyden is.

Is That Good Or Bad?: So Trump is putting together an effort to fight opioid addiction, the medical issue du jour. I will be curious how the left will spin this into a bad thing. I’m sure they’ll find something.

Is That Good Or Bad II: Michael Moore is claiming that Trump will cause the extinction of the human race. So he’s an environmentalist? I thought a world free of the scourge of humanity was the goal of environmentalists?

Interesting Article: Saw another interesting article this week. In it, a leftist Politico reporter talks about how the Democrats were blindsided by working class whites because their polling during the election just didn’t seem to be able to find these people. There is speculation that these whites told pollsters what they wanted to hear (there is some evidence for this as robo-polls proved more accurate by about 6% than human-read polls). There is also speculation that these people just couldn’t be reached because they refused to talk to the Democrats. That’s pretty much the extent of the article’s point, but I see a couple other interesting thoughts that arise from this.

First, the Democrats have always deluded themselves into thinking that the public at large is more liberal than likely voters are because polls of the public skew to the left of polls of likely voters. This suggests that what is really happening is that leftists are just more likely to speak to pollsters. That means we have no idea what America really looks like politically, except that it’s further right than they expected – and it’s already rather far right. At the very least, the idea that “the public” is further left than voters has been proven false.

Secondly, I think this confirms the racial shift throughout America. Starting in the 1980s, the South slowly turned Republican. The Rustbelt States never did, but now they are. This suggests to me that whites are nearly fully onboard with the GOP at this point. With the Democrat’s hoped-for demographic shift not happening, this bodes very poorly for the Democrats as the kids of the current generation of immigrants become more conservative.

Third, it’s pretty clear from this that the Democrats have lost their old base -- blue-collar whites.

Finally, I don’t think that figuring this out will help the Democrats in the least. They seem obsessed with process. To them “not polling” these whites is the problem rather than “not reaching” those whites. I just don’t see them offering anything to appeal to those people.

  2. "When Hillary does it it's like an a**hole teacher trying to be hip as she reads off a cue card." Hilarious. All the more so because it's true. And the really funny thing about screechie is that if she tries to become politically relevant again reality is gonna smack her harder than it did in November. She's a loser. She's done. It's time for grandma to be put out to pasture and it's gonna be fun to watch.

  3. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. Republicans couldn't get on the same page to kill Obamacare, which 99.999% of them campaigned on. I don't know what is next is on Trump's agenda, but I don't see how it could be any more unifying than ending Obamacare.

That isn't to say action is impossible, but its going to take fancy footwork. Trump has Republicans who pride themselves on not 'giving in' on one side, Democrats who define themselves by their level of opposition to him on another and populists who are favor only those theoretical government cuts which inflict no pain on a third side.

  4. GypsyTyger, That's exactly how she comes across, isn't it?

I think you're right. If she does try to become relevant, it will only bring home to her how not relevant she has become.

  5. Anthony, I think other parts of Trump's agenda will be easier because they are standard GOP dogma. I also think he will get some Obamacare reforms with a different group.

  6. This administration is shaping up to be the most scandal-ridden in history! Golden Easter eggs, Pence dining with his wife, Conway's feet on the couch, and Mnuchin laughing about kids' movies! How will the Republic survive?

  7. tryanmax, It's amazing how petty the left's complaints are, isn't it?

  8. Maybe it's just NY area, but Lordy, the media is really pushing Chelsea Clinton as the next new thing in politics!

But Chelsea has made it VERY clear that she will NOT be running for any political office....well, unless and except someone doesn't wanna do it anymore then she would might consider because of her vast political savvy/talent/education/not parentage though. This has nothing to do with anything, she was just putting it out there.

Also there just happens to be a few spots opening up in NY/NYC - NY Sen Kirsten Gillibrand may step down to run for...seriously...President. (Unfortunately, Chuckles Schumer is unwilling to consider retiring so Chelsea can have his spot); and there are few Congressional Districts that may "open up".

I have seen this with the Clinton ladies before. No, No, I am not the least bit interested in running for Senator/President...unless someone is interested in me runni...OH, Heavens, that's CRAZY! Me??
It goes on like that for months, until they finally cave from the pressure of everyone "begging" them to run...

Hillary has started down this well-trod "trial balloon" road to run for NYC Mayor.

  9. Bev, The Hill is putting out stories on Chelsea it seems every half hour on Twitter.

  10. Bev, The left loves their royalty... and grooming kids.

What I think is funny is that Chelsea has been given opportunity after opportunity -- magazines, television news, politics, etc. -- and she's failed each time and had to be ushered on to her next great success. She seems to be a dud. So by all means, bring her on.

And then imagine her running for President... with her cackling 80 year old mother next to her snarling at the audience and trying to get herself elected, and her father humping his wheelchair in the background as they list off Chelsea's achievements: "N/A!"

    Good times.

  11. BTW, HuffPo is arguing that "it matters" that Pence won't dine with single women without his wife. Really? Wow. That's tripling down on stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The thing I keep seeing is that not having one-on-one dinners with other women is sexist of Pence because it shows that either (a) he thinks all women are Jezebels or (b) it's the only way he knows how to not rape. I find these assertions dangerously close to admitting that being alone with a women makes possible a he-said/she-said situation where the woman can credibly level any accusations at an innocent man.

On these same lines, I keep seeing that not dining alone with single women is a creepy/crazy evangelical Christian thing. As if corporate America and, more importantly, academia haven't made it standard practice to always leave a door open or have a third person present when a man meets with a subordinate or student for any reason.

  14. Ask and yea shall receive...

I just saw an article on the opioid thing. First, the article made it sound like it wasn't clear why Trump was doing this. It is "apparently an effort to fulfill a campaign promise"... as if it wasn't Trump's idea.

Secondly, the article pushes the Democratic attacks that (1) no local Democrats were at the announcement, (2) Trumps policies "so far" would make this worse because cancelling Obamacare would end treatment for millions of people, (3) Trump brought Betsy DeVos for some reason... boo! boo! we hate her!! and (4) some expert we found doesn't like the things Trump might propose like harsher penalties for somethingsomething.

What a biased load of crap!

  15. tryanmax, I'm not familiar with anyone who has actually said "always make sure you aren't alone with a ___," but I do know that it is considered good advice and has been implied at times, particularly for managers and especially when firing people.

Legally, it's smarter because it prevents people from making stuff up. The problem is, however, that these people then just change their story. You tried to rape them in the bathroom or that one night you two happened to be in the office at the same time.

  16. Andrew - I saw that article on HuffPo. For some reason, they have scrapped their Comments ability or it is not apparent anymore. No great loss, I almost never go there for anything. But the "he's a sexist 'cause he won't take a woman not his wife out for dinner alone" issue is really a stretch. You're right, why put yourself in the position of any potential He said-did/She said-did accusations. And Pence clearly respects his wife, his marriage, AND his political position to put himself in that position. That shows integrity all the way around. Again, the Clintons and others should take note.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Bev, no Democrat need take note. When they have affairs, it's not 'who they are,' sing another chorus of 'Stand By Your Man,' plus it keeps the groupies hot and bothered thinking it could be them.

But as we've seen, Republicans are damned either way. Just the whiff of an affair and you're done. Actively avoid feeding rumors and you're a weirdo and a sexist.

  18. OT: This is totally ahocking. Warren Beatty turned 80 yrs old today. 80...YEARS...OLD!

  19. Tryanmax,

Are you typing from an alternate universe where Trump isn't president :) ? Post-Clinton fidelity was the watchword for both parties, at least at a national level. Now with Trump we're back to sex scandals and vocal apologists ('Dude, he's totally alpha!).

Pence's devotion to his wife is fine and good, but it means little. Like a lot of governors Pence is a solid conservative who generates as much excitement as a cup of room temperature tapwater and he would have gone nowhere politically if Trump hadn't decided he would make a useful VP/counterweight.

  20. The Russia investigation is going in some interesting directions. Flynn is seeking immunity and Trump is feeding Nunes intelligence (he seems to be admitting it now, though he denied it for a while) which according to Nunes doesn't support Trump's claims though according to Trump it supports his claims.

Its going to be a very interesting four years.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/03/30/white-house-invites-intel-panel-leaders-to-view-classified-information.html

The White House Thursday invited the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee and the leaders of the Senate intelligence committee to view classified material previously seen by House committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif.
In a letter to the House and Senate intelligence committee's chairman and ranking member, White House Counsel Don McGhan offered to "make these documents" available for Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif. to inspect. McGhan added that he believed the documents are "necessary to determine whether information collected on U.S. persons was mishandled and leaked," a reference to alleged surveillance of President Trump's campaign staff and transition team.
    -----------
Spicer had previously dismissed the notion that the White House had funneled information to Nunes, saying the idea that the congressman would come and brief Trump on material the president's team already had "doesn't pass the smell test." The White House quickly embraced Nunes' revelations, saying they vindicated Trump's explosive and unverified claim that President Barack Obama wiretapped his New York skyscraper.

  21. On the lighter side of the news, somebody saved taxpayers some money and beat the serial killer known as the Angel of Death to death. I'm sure the killer is a nasty piece of work in their own right, but its the thought that counts.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/serial-killer-beaten-to-death_us_58dd1fb9e4b08194e3b7c74a?

A serial killer and former nurse’s aide who was known as the “Angel of Death” has died on Thursday after being attacked two days earlier inside of an Ohio prison, the Associated Press reported.
Donald Harvey, 64, who pleaded guilty to killing more than three dozen people at hospitals in Ohio and Kentucky in the 1970s and 1980s, was pronounced dead Thursday morning after suffering critical injuries inside his cell at the state prison in Toledo.

  23. I have to laugh at the articles coming from the left about Obamacare. First, after Trump said it would fail, there were a flurry of articles saying that Trump is wrong and that Obamacare is not failing.

Then there were articles outlining what Trump needed to do immediately to fix it, and how he needs to raise the subsidies fast or people will start falling off in massive numbers.

Then there were articles telling us that Trump needed to raise the punishments fast if he wants Millennials to sign up, and noting that Obamacare will fail if they don't.

Now, today, there are articles warning Trump that if he doesn't fix Obamacare, the insurers will leave it soon.

So think about this. Trump says let it die. They people insist it can't die and then they write articles telling Trump all the steps he better take right away to keep it from dying. What's more, these articles are written in a tone which suggests that the author thinks that now that Trump failed to repeal it, he must obviously have decided to make it work perfectly. Huh? This is pure idiocy.

  24. Anthony; Donald Harvey was from the Cincinnati area and committed his murders in Cincinnati and northern Kentucky. The way that he was able to get away with so many murders was that he was a nurses aide and he always worked in hospices. He changed employment after a few deaths at one place and started again. Eventually it caught up to him. What happened to him is justice.
