PSA - March4Trump

This is a public service announcement for those of you who may be interested: March 4 Trump on Saturday, March 4 in DC and around the country - Local Marches.

With all of the other marches, rallies, and riots being staged against Trump since the election, it will be interesting to see how well these are attended. It seems a little last minute, but maybe that is a wise choice considering the anarchists have been ready to cause trouble when there's a lot of pre-planning. I am not advocating one way or another about attending, but just giving out information.

Anyway, the floor is open for whatever discussions or topics you may want to start.

  2. So now that they are trying to pin the Russian wrap on former Senator/now AG Sessions; "they" are throwing all in on VP Pence because as Indiana Gov he used private email to conduct public business. Oops, except that there is no law against that in Indiana. However when Sec't of State Clinton used her private server/email it was clearly against Federal law.

So if the Dems really want to go down this road, then let them. Sen. McCaskill and Sen. Schumer have already been caught with their Russian pants down after swearing they NEVER met with any Russians. And then these same Dems will all have to explain why it was okay with them that Clinton broke federal law and Pence did not break an state laws.

  3. T-Max - There is one in NYC (of course...), but I will am debating. I've done my time tkaing to the streets for the TP. Also I am expecting counter-protests to be violent as they always are. Also there's the day without women strike next week and I have to rest up to do nothing on Wed...;-)

  4. I'm no Trump backer but Hillary's careless, illegal handling of classified material is in no way analogous to a governor doing business on personal email.

Don't you understand that the more hypocritical they are, the louder they yell and complain?

  6. It turns out the person calling bomb hoaxes to JCCs was disgraced reporter (for fabricating sources), Bernie supporter, and non-white--let alone white supremacist--Juan Thompson, in an elaborate attempt to get revenge on an ex-girlfriend.

Or, as one person on Gab put it, "White people are so evil they built Western Civilization JUST so they could make minorities commit fake hate crimes against each other. That is some SERIOUS #EvilGenius long game."

  7. T-Max - The media is trying its' hardest to make this sound not like a anti-Semitic hate crime by a black supremacist former "journalist" who was fired for making up stories and having them published as "news", but more as a coincidentally timed disgruntled lover-crime by a sad guy who just wanted his girlfriend back/or to punish her for something.

So yeah, It's Trump's fault...but the "long game" - I remember my great-great-great-graeat grandparents writing about that meeting where the "long game" was decided...they left a coded message in a bottle in the attic with "And the day will come when the Leader will be Trumpeted to the Top and then you will know that the time is nigh..."

  8. But Koshcat, we are all hypocrites about something. I love to eat meat, but I dislike the thought of killing animals for food. I just prefer to have someone else do the dirty work, and I buy my meat in nice, styrofoam containers broken down into individual parts.

But what is going on now is just beyond all reason. And it's backfiring on social media as fast as they spin the next 'controversy" (happens to both sides...)

  9. Anthony, that's exactly it. And if someone had just done their homework, they could've learned that, unlike on the Fed level, Indiana does not have such laws/regs that preclude the Gov or others from using personal emails for public business.

  10. Arkansas, my neighbor to the South, is getting ready to execute 8 men over a 10 day period in April...this should be interesting...I'm not a big proponent of the death penalty, however, from reading the bios of these jerks,,,well,,,so long...

  11. Critch - I'm from Texas. We execute for sleepin' late! Okay, that's not true. I am not a big proponent of the death penalty either because sometimes executing is letting them off too easy.

  12. tryanmax, It's funny how often the crazies who do these things, which are told must be conservatives of one stripe or another, turn out to be leftists who are trying to frame the right.

It's interesting too that the media is constantly full of "articles" about some waiter who got the n-word or something anti-gay written on their receipts as a basis for not getting a tip... and every single one of those has turned out to be a fake. #fakenews

  13. Speaking of fake news, Jane Fonda is trying to excuse her negative legacy by claiming she was molested as a child. This is the way Hollywood types try to insulate themselves from their excesses. #nosale.

It's the same way models try to insulate themselves from being attacked by envious women (read liberal women) by claiming to have been bullied and by claiming to be insecure about their bodies... which is why they went into modeling, right?

It's fascinating the lies people tell to navigate the "shaming" industry.

  14. Mark Levin claimed yesterday that Obama wiretapped Trump right before the election. Today Trump stated that he had just learned that Obama had wiretapped him right before the election.

Using the power of government to go after political enemies certainly isn't out of character for Obama, nor is lying to stir up his followers or taking rumors as gospel truth out of character for Trump. *Shrugs* Perhaps further evidence will present itself.

  15. Anthony, The fight was over "who you gonna believe?" long before the lying started.

  16. Tryanmax,

Evidence lessens (if not removes) the need for believe. Unfortunately Spicer's comments indicate Trump doesn't have any and was basing his claim on Mark Levin's claims (which are based on rumors he heard).

I remember last week when Trump was calling for bipartisanship and denouncing reports based on unnamed sources. That didn't last long :) .

Those sources said that the officials in question had no idea what Trump was talking about when the president made the allegation on social media Saturday morning. The sources also told Fox that Trump did not consult with senior officials who would have been advised of any such wiretapping operations before posting the messages.
Trump claimed in a series of tweets without evidence Saturday that his predecessor had tried to undermine him by tapping the telephones at Trump Tower, the New York skyscraper where Trump based his campaign and transition operations, and maintains a home.
    -----------
White House press secretary Sean Spicer said without elaborating Sunday that Trump's instruction to Congress was based on "very troubling" reports "concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election." Spicer did not respond to inquiries about the reports he cited in announcing the request.
Spicer said the White House wants the congressional committees to "exercise their oversight authority to determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016." He said there would be no further comment until the investigations are completed

  18. Tryanmax,

I tend to follow the evidence. Crucially, Trump's administration has distanced itself from the tweet and Trump has failed to back it up.

  20. Tryanmax,

Did you read your own link? That is a textbook example of distancing. John Kelly didn't dispute Trump (his boss) but he literally stated he learned about it by watching CNN.

Also, 'If the president of the United States said that, he's got his reasons' is a hilariously passive statement from one of the handful of guys in a prime position to know/learn about Obama wiretapping Trump.

Along those lines the Trump administration has kicked the wiretapping investigation ball to Congress, who has quite reasonably then asked the Trump administration what evidence they have. Thus far the Trump administration has failed to respond.

Like I said, Obama wiretapping Trump wouldn't shock me, but neither would Trump pulling a false allegation from his butt and at this time nobody is providing evidence to back up his tweets.

    http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/322615-dhs-head-trump-has-convincing-wiretap-proof

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly says President Trump must possess credible evidence that former President Barack Obama ordered the wiretapping of Trump Tower in New York City last year.
Trump claimed on Twitter last Saturday that Obama had his “wires tapped” in Trump Tower before Election Day last year, making the accusation without offering any evidence.
“If the president of the United States said that, he’s got his reasons to say it,” Kelly said Monday on CNN’s “The Situation Room." "[Trump’s] got some convincing evidence that that took place.”
Kelly admitted he had learned about Trump’s claims from watching CNN, adding he would not guess why the Obama administration might have wiretapped a 2016 presidential candidate.

The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Republican Richard Burr of North Carolina, declined CNN's request for comment Sunday.
    --------

Sen. Marco Rubio, a Republican who sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" that he's "not sure what it is (Trump) is talking about," but added it's possible that "perhaps the President has information that is not yet available to us or to the public."
Rubio pointed out that the Senate Intelligence Committee is already in the process of reviewing Russia's meddling in the US elections last year and will eventually issue a public report.
"But what I think we should do is, everybody needs to take a deep breath and calm down here," the Florida Republican told CNN's Jake Tapper. "And let's go through this as what we are doing. In the Senate Intelligence Committee, we are working in a bipartisan way to collect facts that involve reviewing classified and sometimes unclassified and open-source information."
Sen. Susan Collins, also a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Sunday morning that she has "seen no evidence" to back up Trump's wiretapping allegation and called on the White House to turn over any evidence to the committee.
"What we need to deal with is evidence, not statements," the Maine Republican said on CBS' "Face the Nation."

  21. Anthony, those are called non-committal statements. He's got his own side afraid to take a position. That tendency is going to spread until it reaches all but his most ardent (read: knee-jerk) opposition.
