I don't know about the rest of you, but I need a cute animal break. It is just getting too ugly out there in the Twit-verse and I need a "safe room". So for today, please feel free to freely express your feelings or thoughts or movie reviews. While we wait for all of these free thoughts to form, here's some photos to keep your calm and focused:
Who can be sad with that face?
Don't you wish you could sleep like this?
And come on, it's a tiny pig!
And in honor of National Penguin Appreciation Day:

ReplyDeleteBev, Thanks for posting! It's been a long couple days and I wasn't able to get an article done. Sorry folks.
ReplyDeleteI just beat a beautiful but dark game named What Remains of Edith Finch. Its a very story driven game (in gaming geek parlance the somewhat pejorative nickname is 'walking simulator') but its a beautiful, fascinating game which puts you in the shoes of various members of a family which suffers from, a lot of things, including a strong streak of mental illness.
ReplyDeleteFor example, one bit has you playing as a very happy baby in a bathtub, another has you in the shoes of a father who takes his somewhat reluctant daughter hunting, another has you in the shoes of a little girl who imagines herself as various predators, etc.
Its a short game (took me under three hours) but its a nice change of pace from all of the massive 100 hours plus open world and adventure games I have been playing this year.
2017 has been a really incredible year for games.

Anthony, I don't have a lot of time for gaming, but maybe I'll watch a playthrough sometime. THanks!
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated on the animals, Bev, since it's been that kind of few weeks. I'm definitely glad I've got a bunch of cats to curl up with, including two Maine Coon mixes and a tortoiseshell. I'll look into the game as well, Anthony. I barely have time for the large scale games you mentioned myself these days. I'm still working on Persona 5 myself and I'm still enjoying it!

Not exactly a cute animal break, but how about this:

TJ - I read about that. There is some kind of sweet Karma working there as pigs are "unclean" in Islam just like in practicing Jews.
ReplyDeleteI like puppies...
