The Whining Continues...

The left's meltdown continues...

● Waaah Trump!: So here's the progression on the coverage of Trump's trip...
(1) Trump is only going overseas to avoid being indicted... HE'S RUNNING AWAY!!!

(2) This trip is ruined before it begins because Trump has angered all Arabs -- Trump is too stupid to know what to do -- Trump criticized the wise Obama ergo he's a fool and doomed... HE'S GOING TO FAIL!!!

(3) Ha ha! Look at all these people on Twitter mocking him! HE'S AN EMBARRASSMENT!!!

(4) OMG Trump has insulted the Saudis in some way -- Melina has angered the Saudis by not wearing a headscarf and wearing pants/damn Trump for attacking Michelle Obama for not wearing a headscarf -- why is Ivanka even there, how embarrassing... THEY'RE MAKING US LOOK LIKE FOOLS!

(5) OMG Melina spoke to the Saudi's about "empowerment" what does that b**ch know about empowerment?... THIS IS EMBARRASSING!!!

(6) Ok, so Melina was a hit and is being revered for her fashion sense, but that's not what counts -- and Ivanka is being revered for some unknown reason by the whole population of Saudi Arabia, but that's not what counts... THIS DOESN'T MATTER!!! AND DIDN'T SHE DRESS ILLEGALLY? DOESN'T SHE RESPECT SAUDI LAW ON WOMEN?!!!

(7) Trump got an arms deal with the Saudis which will mean tens of thousands of high end us manufacturing deals and much closer ties with the Saudis versus Iran, but um, uh other presidents did this too so who cares -- oh and it's dangerous to do!... HE'S RECKLESS!!!

(8) Uh, so the Saudis are saying Trump has opened a new age in Arab and American relationships, but that's um... THIS DOESN'T MATTER!!!

(9) Melina and Ivanka lectured the Saudis on women's rights and got a massive commitment to fund women's empowerment around the globe, but that's uh... THIS DOESN'T MATTER!!!

(10) Uh, so the Saudis have agreed to start fighting Islamic extremism, something the State Department has been trying but failing at, but but but, um, the right used to say that the Saudis were behind global extremism!! THIS IS GOING TO FAIL AND IT'S ALL TRUMP's FAULT!!!
HuffPo actually opened their discussion of the trip with this:
President Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia has been fraught with controversy, from a potentially-illegal $110 billion arms deal, to his shifting rhetoric on Islam, to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates’ massive donation to Ivanka Trump’s “women’s empowerment” fund.
There's nothing illegal with the arms sale. Who cares about the shifting rhetoric? The Saudis didn't. The donation is a good thing. And they've skipped mentioning the Saudi effort against extremism and their praise of the Trumps. How pathetic. What's more, the article is about how people are mocking Trump for touching a glowing orb. Think about that. They falsely dismiss the substance of what he's done, dismiss the statements of the hosts and make fun of him for being courteous. That's really pathetic. That pathologically evasive of inconvenient truth.

Then there's this:

● Imagine That: University of Missouri enrollment is down 35%. They are shocked. They knew there would be some fall out from the racial protests but they didn’t expect this. I suspect they saw it all wrong. They suspected leftists would be upset about the need to protest at all and that the leftists who looked elsewhere would be the drop in enrollment. That's why they caved in to them. But they had it backwards. The real problem was always with the majority who didn’t support the protests and who don’t like the idea of going to a school that caters to those fools... a much larger group who have no reason to go somewhere that f*cked up.

So the U of M is now promising to improve their image. My guess is they will go the wrong way with it and play up how diverse and repressive they are, and they won't understand why things don't get better.

● Pathetic: Some leftist assholes showed they lack the tolerance to deal with people with different views by walking out on Mike Pence. Just more proof the left is thin-skinned. Too bad they didn't wear stupid hats or the left might be calling this a movement. Maybe they should have worn poop emoji hats. Then they could be the Bowel Movement. Anyways, the only significance of this ill mannered intolerance is that it shows that the left would be acting no differently if Rubio or Pence or someone else had won. They aren't anti-Trump, they are anti-opposition. Don't forget that when you deal with them.

Thoughts?

  1. The University of Missouri can kiss my "Show-me" butt...we refer to them as the People's Republic of Columbia.....Trump may do more than any president ever for some sort of peace in the Middle East...he'll make the Palestinians an offer they can't refuse. Just so another liberal will choke on it, I bought another Glock yesterday...just because..

  2. Another bullet point for your list, Andrew. Trump flew directly from Riyadh to Tel Aviv in what's believed to be the first direct flight between Saudi Arabia and Israel, breaking a symbolic barrier between the two sworn enemies. The story is only hours old, so I haven't seen how this will be spun as embarrassing yet, but my guess is that "the move undermines Trump's entire visit and is a thumb in the eye to a much-sought ally in the war on terror."

The "Trump is an embarrassment" stuff seems very recycled from the George W. years, and Reagan years, and Ford years, doesn't it? Absolutely right that the left is anti-opposition. And if they can't make the criminal label stick, they'll go with embarrassment until someone who's bright and clean with the right crease in their pants comes along.

  3. Trump's trip seems to be going well. Aside from slightly more aggressive rhetoric, strikes me as business as usual with Saudi Arabia and Israel (seems to have abandoned plans to move the embassy to Jerusalem). He is more hostile to Iran than Obama, which is fine because the more we learn about the deal the worse it seems.

  4. Critch, They really shot themselves in the foot this time. They have a big enough budget deficit that they're going to need to start laying people off. And the way they're going about fixing it will only lead to a downward swirl. And I'm laughing about it the whole way.

  5. Anthony, The tone has been surprisingly good. The tone for Obama and Bush II and Clinton wasn't anywhere near as good as it has been for Trump. So he's clearly doing something right over there.

  6. tryanmax, We can't be bothered with footnotes like that, Trump is making a fool of us!!

As an aside, the "it was an illegal deal" has become fact on the left already. And now they've moved on to jerking themselves off with tea leaves of marital strife.

  7. As another aside, I read an interesting article this week from the left. This guy was really worried that everything was blowing up on the left because nothing being reported as fact about Trump has been true... and none of the impeachments/indictments/etc. will happen.

He pointed out that pretty much every rumor is coming from one of three weirdos on the left who site unnamed sources for their stories. He then dissected how these stories are clearly fake. BUT all the Huffers and the such are buying into them uncritically, and "even respectable journalists" are falling for these people.

Ironically, he said the one reason he doesn't think this will be a total disaster for the left is that the left doesn't doesn't have groupthink controlling its media. See, there is no monolithic media on the left like there is on the right because of all those fair and balanced places like CBS and MSNBC which work so very hard to report only the truth.

    Yeah, right!

Anyways, that part was delusional, but the rest of the article was enlightening. Basically, the Trump stuff is coming from three Alex Jones who are feeding the left and the left is lapping it up even as there is a total lack of substance and support.

  8. The BBC is reporting an explosion at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England...fatalities confirmed....I'm sure the media will blame Trump.

  9. Hey all! I was going to post tonight, but I can't get my laptop to cooperate. I've been traveling for the last two weeks and just turned on my computer and Chrome isn't working. Blocking my internet connection. Anyone have an ideas on how to unblock? Already uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome...

FYI reporting that at least 20 people killed and 50 injured in Manchester so far. Oh, when will this nightmare end???

  10. So someone blows up an Ariana Venti concert and all the celebs tweet how horrible this is. These are the same people who normally tweet caution when other people get blown up so that we not jump to conclusions.

I feel like I should Tweet:

Cn't hope to undrstand what drives alleged 'so-called' alleged 'terrorist' to perform alleged extrm activism like this. No judgmnt. Innocent til proved guilty. #don'tHATEMuslamsyouwhitetrashactors

  11. Do you have a link to the article?

  12. Some leftist asshat made an alleged joke about the Manchester bombing in Twitter and is getting his mentions flooded with outrage. Basically, he's being treated the way the left treats conservative on a normal day. He's maintaining peak smugness, so I see no reason to feel sorry for him.

  13. That concert attack was rough. My prayers are with the victims and their families.

  14. Koshcat, Here is the article: LINK.

It's long (and starts a little slow), but interesting.

  15. tryanmax, He is the perfect example of where leftist smugness and inhumanity meet fake outrage. Spending your days finding ridiculous reasons to be outraged strips you of your sense of perspective between what matters and what doesn't. Suddenly someone looking funny at a gay person is worse than a group of people being murdered.

Add in the dividing of the world into "innocent, oppressed victims" who must be put on a victim pedestal and "racist white trash conservative rednecks" whose suffering can be mocked, and you get leftist asshattery.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anthony, I find it utterly despicable. What kind of God tells you to kill innocent people?

    ReplyDelete
  17. The first reported victim is an eight year old girl. Sickening. How the Muslim world can't be in an uproar that their supposed religion is being used as a reason to do this is beyond me. How can you ignore something like that?

  18. I love this quote — “One of the failures of the Republican Party is the way they let the birther movement metastasize — and that ultimately helped Donald Trump make it to the White House.” — because the phrasing suggests that the GOP exists to serve the aims of the Democratic Party.

  19. The guy has some serious blind spots, but they're typical on the left.

BTW, Roger Moore died. RIP 007

  20. >>How the Muslim world can't be in an uproar that their supposed religion is being used as a reason to do this is beyond me. How can you ignore something like that?>>

Therein lies a huge rub, AP. Following the 2004 train attacks in Spain, it was highly encouraging seeing groups of Muslims uniting against Al Qaeda. Sadly, however, they were cowed into silence since then. Till enough of the peace-minded Muslims reform it for a modern worldview, we're all going to be subjected to being stuck in rewind.

  21. See, that's what pisses me off EP.

If this had been someone claiming to act on behalf of Christianity, there would be ten million Christians in the streets today with signs screaming "Not in my name!" Every city in the world would have rallies. Christians would be all over TV condemning this and talking about to make it stop. And Christians everywhere would be reporting anything that even looks like a terrorist to the FBI.

But it's not a Christian. It's a Muslim. So you get a handful of TV talking head Muslims talking about this is being roundly condemned and it's representative of Islam oh and let's stop blaming Muslims for what these people do. And while we're at it, remember that you people caused this with your (insert anti-Western imperialism talking points) blah blah. No rallies. No protests. No apologies. No attempts to fix this.

    The silence is deafening.

And you could say that maybe that's not the Arab way (because we are talking about Arabs more than Muslims if we are being honest), but that's not true either. They hold mass protest marches all the times when they feel the slightest bit insulted... by cartoons for example.

  22. Yup-yup. Steven Crowder nails that (and more) brilliantly in his latest.

  23. Anybody ready for some more stupid? Apparently the left is upset about the way Trump signed the Holocaust Memorial guest book. Here's what he wrote:

"It is a great honor to be here with all of my friends – so amazing + will NEVER FORGET!"

The left is howling because Trump didn't write a short essay like Obama and Hillary did on their visits and are likening his words to a yearbook signing. Somehow, I doubt they'd be satisfied if Trump had filled an entire page with trite platitudes like his predecessor and his former opponent both did.
