Sorry About The Lack of Posts

Hi everyone! Sorry about the lack of posts. I'm still dealing with the leg issue. My leg blistered up all around and those broke open, so much of my lower leg is open wounds right now. Hence, I've been on a LOT of pain pills and haven't been able to focus on doing any writing. I'll get back to it soon. Here are some thoughts for today.

(1) Trump Pattern: All of the attacks on Trump are starting to take on a pattern. It reminds me of an echo. Someone screams, you get an immediate loud echo from the echo chamber. Then for several days thereafter, you keep getting the echo shouting back, but each shout is less than the shouts before it. Eventually, the sound wave passes and all goes quiet again. At that point, you get the lament "how can Trump still be in power?"/"why isn't he being impeached?" That's when you know it's completely over.

(2) Eclipse today. Doesn't that mean that the Black Death is coming? Or Satan is born? Something evil, right?

(3) I see that the anti-Confederate statute orgy is spreading. In Baltimore they removed a Supreme Court Justice because he issued a racist decision (here's a clue: they all did at one time or another). They are targeting Teddy Roosevelt because he said the white race is the forward race. Washington and Jefferson are targets because they owned slaves. Anyone connected to Indian killing/deportation, slavery, "oppression" of women, internment of Japanese will soon be fair game. Basically, we're going to remove all the monuments to Democrats. They are removing the founder of modern gynecology because experimented on black women. Of course the problem is that you can find a reason to remove anyone, so soon we will be a land without statues or street names.

Good luck when the eclipse comes!

  1. Sorry you are having so much trouble! But I did tell you to get better and apparently you didn't listen. 8-/

Just going to point out that...first the Cubs win the World Series...then Trump wins...now a Total Eclipse pass over "white America" as someone Antifa-sympathizer pointed out on Twitter.

Is anyone else have "It's the End of The World As We Know It" in an endless earworm loop today?

  2. I am loving pointing out to the statue destroyers how all of the subjects were Democrats.

  3. Andrew, Bad news about the leg. Take care of yourself and don't mix your painkillers with anything you shouldn't! The echo observation is a good one.

Bev, My earworm loop has been "Total Eclipse of the Heart" for days now.

  4. Bev, It is funny how all the people who did things they hate are their ideological ancestors, isn't it?

I did try to get better... I swear! :)

  5. Aawwww, Tryanmax, I like that one better. I think I will switch out earworms. Now, where did I put my earworm remote?

  6. Thanks tryanmax. Don't worry, the only thing I'm mixing them with is pizza.

  7. Pizza's good. Hope you recover quickly, Andrew

  8. Hey, since there are many of you in the Midwest along the Eclipse route who are mid-eclipse, just let me know if the world has ended yet where you are? And if so, has the cannibalism started yet?

  9. Thanks TJ! This has been stubborn because it's blistered up twice as it got near healing and the blisters became new wounds.

    Pizza is good.

  10. Bev, We just had the eclipse. It was cool but not as dark as I expected. I can confirm, however, that cannibalism has indeed begun and there are zombies roaming the streets.... wait, they're just Democrats hoping to find something that offends them.

  11. Zombies!!! I forgot about the Zombies!

  12. Please take care of yourself...so much more important than posting.

It seems to be happening here (SW PA) right now, but I can't tell you for sure since I can't go outside and look. It isn't dark, dark like I thought...more like dusk or a bad storm.

My eclipse soundtrack includes Smash Mouth's "Walking on the Sun," George Harrison's "Here Comes the Sun," and CCR's "Bad Moon Rising."

  13. Stacy - Those are all great Eclipse songs!

Btw, I went outside in front of my office building in lower Manhattan along with everyone else from all 55 stories! Great view. Also it was just so wonderful to be outside with a bunch of random people sharing their eclipse glasses all having a great time and all happy. All shapes, sizes, nationalities etc. Didn't matter. Everyone was laughing and happy! It was so refreshing...

  14. Andrew,

Sorry to hear about your leg. This statue thing is really getting crazy.

  15. Anthony - For some reason, the statue-haters are really going after Christopher Columbus right now.

  16. I know I said this already but take care of yourself, Andrew! That's some rough crap to be dealing with. As for the other subjects good catch on the Trump bashing pattern first of all. As for the eclipse we saw it with 98% coverage from where I was in GA and they let us take our last break of the day outside with eclipse glasses to watch it. It wasn't as dark as I expected (light was like a cloudy evening) but it was cool to see, and I'll have to echo one of my co-workers on suggesting Black Hole Sun as being an appropriate song for the occasion. The statue destruction is disgusting as well... We can and should have debates over the Civil War and the Confederacy but this vandalism is unacceptable. I'm just waiting until they try this in a red city in a red state... I imagine that's going to end painfully for whoever tries it.

  17. Andrew, Best wishes for a full recovery. Take all the time you need. Liberals will still be doing stupid stuff when you get back.

  18. Actually Argent - In Houston, a park was shut down overnight because someone supposedly planted a bomb on Hermann Park - http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/houston-man-charged-after-trying-plant-bomb-confederate-statue-n794606

  19. Bev, that's disgusting and I'm glad he was arrested. Isn't Houston one of Texas' blue spots, though? Not to the extent Austin is but from my knowledge it's still solidly Democrat. I was thinking more along the lines if them going to a small rural area like Chickamauga and stirring things up, which I don't think would end well. Still, at least he was arrested and I doubt Governor Abbott is going to express concern for the vandals' safety the way North Carolina's governor did.

  20. I would be surprised if Gov. Abbott would show sympathy for a potential terrorist attack. I am impressed that the park police officer perceived something was off and reacted. No lives lost or property damaged.

  21. Take care of yourself Andrew.....we were in totality today with he eclipse...a very impressive show, but then I'm an astronomy geek...I likened the blow of totality to an arc welder's light..sorta blue white...it cooled down rapidly, and then I saw owls and other night birds suddenly come out..I thought it was really neat..

  22. Trump's new Afghanistan strategy boasts a tougher sounding slogan but otherwise strikes me as identical to those of prior administrations. No more or less than I expected.

The strategy is an open ended commitment but thus far it has worked pretty well. Terror attackwise Al Queda and the Taliban have been quiescent for a couple years though of course Islamists in the West are now killing under the banner of ISIS.

  23. A tour group of high school students decided to eat lunch at Howard University's cafeteria and caught a lot of flack because two were outfitted in Trump gear. People were cursing them out and at one point a man ripped that hat off the head of one of the girls and they eventually decided to leave. Howard praised the conduct of its students. Disgusting.

  24. Dang, get yaself back on the good foots, AP. We'll be here.

I, too, take great pleasure pointing out the true historical nature of the men depicted on the toppling statues. Especially troubling, though, and frustrating, is this is the result of the left's takeover of academia. Otherwise, the petulant little snowflakes might know Robert E. Lee, Lincoln's first choice to lead the Union forces, was actually opposed to slavery and secession. Sigh.

Monsoon season still lingering in spots here in Phoenix, but the sun managed to poke its way through the clouds at our peak time yesterday morning. My Spotify was going with "Darkness" X 2, unrelated songs from The Police and Aerosmith, and, so as to keep Bonnie Tyler's numbers even a little more balanced, "Faster Than the Speed of Night."

  25. ESPN has pulled a sports announcer because his name is Robert Lee......he's of Asian descent...the stoopidity just keeps piling upon the Left...
