Vacation

Howdy, everyone! I know this is short notice, but I'm taking a week long vacation. We're going to Disney World. I will try to put out something during the week and I'll check in now and then, but if it takes a while for me to answer, that's why. Happy Thanksgiving week!

  1. Thanks Anthony. This is our last chance for our youngest to still see Disney as real magic and we wanted to get her there before she loses that. That's not to say that she doesn't know it's all just a theme park, but she can still see it as a place of real magic with real Disney characters walking around. Our oldest is already beyond that point and just enjoys it as a park.

  2. Hey Andrew - Say "Hey" to Mickey, Minnie and All the Gang! And have a fabulous week! Make sure you tell us all about the new Avatar world and ride(s)!

  3. I will Bev. The girls are looking forward to that. I want to see their Star Wars stuff too, but mainly I'm looking forward to the pool (we're at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which has a great pool) and the original Magic Kingdom itself (love the Peter Pan Ride and It's A Small World), and their signature restaurants.

  4. Have fun! We're waiting for the baby to be a little older before we plan our trip. I'll hit you up for pointers in a couple years.

  5. Thanks tryanmax!

I can definitely provide tips. This time we're using a grocery service, for example, to save a ton.

The one tip I will give you right now is... start saving. Disney is super expensive, especially if you want to do it right.

  6. Have fun! You've definitely earned a good break.

  7. Have a great time! We've only been back once since we lived in Orlando in the 80s and that was in the 90s. So much is new...waiting for all the grandkids to be old enough to go, I guess. Happy Thanksgiving!

  9. BTW, Al Franken is now accused of groping a woman while she was asleep -- and there's even a photo proving it.

At this point, I think we can profile the most likely predator:

A liberal actor/entertainer/journalist who dabbles in politics in some manner and pretends to speak for women.

If you know anyone like this, watch out.

Oh, and if you see Terry Crews, grab his junk. Trust me on this. He'll like it. This comes from the "me thinks he doth protest too much" school of observation.

  10. Thanks Stacy! I hadn't been back since 1978 until two years ago. It was fantastic. So much more than I remembered. But we only had 4 days and that wasn't even close to enough. So this time we're going for 7 full days plus 2 travel days so the girls can see all the parks.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  11. Well, the House passed a new tax bill, so on the Senate. Oh, and a mistrial was declared in the trial of NJ Sen. Menendez. The jury was hopelessly deadlocked.

Today's Sexual Harassment Roulette. Add Franken and now Sylvester Stallone...

  12. The Stallone things sounds like total BS. The Franken thing is real though... he photographed it.

At this point, I take all the new allegations with a huge grain of salt because we've entered the liar's portion of the game.

  13. BTW, in terms of their attempts to try to prove that there are a massive number of these things and therefore this is an epidemic rather than just a handful of jerks... (which is why they bringing up things like rumors of misbehavior Christian Slater against a girlfriend who isn't even complaining)... why not bring up Ike and Tina Turner? How about historical figures?

As a pointed aside, I can name (by going through the Daily Mail) more female teachers who slept with students this year than the Hollywood feminists can name abusers in Hollywood. Perhaps we need to focus on that "epidemic"?

  14. As much as I hate defending Al Franken even slightly, Tweeden and her 11 year moratorium on moral courage are already backtracking by accepting Franken's overdue apology, as well as saying he shouldn't resign his Senate seat. It's almost like she doesn't want to be further sca-roo-ta-nized.

  15. Sorry EP, but according to liberals, women don't lie about these things, all men are guilty when accused, no defense should be allowed, and no punishment is enough. So I say we cut off his thing and beat him to death with it. It's only fair.

  17. Yeah, well, it is Franken. Why not?

    Have fun, too, Mouseketeer!

  18. Thanks EP! I definitely need a vacation!

As far as Franken goes, I'm enjoying the irony. These are guys who smugly attacked conservatives over and over and denied them any presumption or chance to prove their innocence. And now they are being brought down by the poison they created. That makes me happy.

And before it's over, I bet that the left demands an end to a lot of the poison they created.

  19. Thanks GypsyTyger! Happy Thanksgiving!

  20. Honestly, the most ridiculous issue (among an entire sea of them) is the overwhelming criticism of VP Pence 'cause he won't be alone with a woman not his wife. They just can't imagine someone not even wanting the question of any possible impropriety. It's like some absurdist comedy.
