Have you noticed that every week they run headlines claiming that Trump's approval has dropped to the lowest level ever? Or how about how they've run this headline dozens of times: "Trump is now the most unpopular President ever!" Since that can only happen once by definition, I wonder how they can make the claim over and over? I'm calling bullship on the whole polling bit.
Have you noticed that the only sexual predator that all the little chickies agree is a genuine monster is Roy Moore? Ironically, the claims against Moore aren't even proven, as they are against many others, nor do they seem to involve much in the way of forced sexual conduct. This tells us that the #Iwontbesilentunlesstheresajobinitforme "movement" remains politicized.
Have you noticed the massive number of female teachers sleeping with students and how this epidemic goes unmentioned by feminists?
Have you noticed that any attempt by people like Matt Damon to bring some sanity to the #metoo witch hunt is being met with intense anger? Matt's crime was to suggest that not all harassment is the same and that we should not be punishing people who simply did something in a young victim-wannabe's dream the same as we should be punishing serial rapists. This suggestion of shades of misconduct angered the girls, who apparently think that anything any woman thinks was harassment deserves the same punishment. That should just about be the end of this silliness.
Have you noticed that the coverage of this year's LA fire has grown exponentially now that it's attacking celebrities' homes? Odd, isn't it, that a tragedy matters more when it happens to someone famous.
Have you noticed a commercial for a cologne called Sauvage (or is it Sausage?) starring Johhny Depp. Is it just me, or are you also pretty sure that Depp smells like week old rum, weeks of cigarettes and probably mule urine? Sausage is in stores now... if you dare.
Finally, I need to tell you all about our trip to Disney, which was both fantastic and interesting. I also need to tell you about this argument I had with a black former-friend of my wife. Fascinating stuff. I'll talk about both soon.

BTW, Chris Matthews was revealed today to have settle harassment suits. Hmm. More liberal journalists.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, Matthews was brutal in going after Trump for his harassment issues. Hypocrite much?
Depp's aroma essence smells like horse urine filtered through sweaty gym socks. I was in an executive jet terminal with him once. Not fun.
ReplyDeleteLL, I'm genuinely not surprised. Every time I see him on television or on screen, I can almost smell the stench coming off the man. And then to see him in a perfume ad was hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI’m impressed that you all have such a nuanced recognition of various urines. 😉
ReplyDeletetryanmax, There's a kit you can buy which teaches you the difference. LOL!
ReplyDelete1. It's possible to steadily hit new polling lows. I'm not saying Trump is doing that but it is possible. Like Obama (and Bush and Clinton) he can lose popularity and still win re-election. He just has to be less repulsive than the Dem's nominee.
ReplyDelete2. Quite a few sexual predators are unambiguously denounced. Not too long ago you were complaining that Weinstein was the only sexual predator unambiguously denounced.
Also, minors can't give consent 'That fourteen year old girl barely protested as I removed her clothing and her parents said it was okay. Nothing wrong going on here!'.
3) Female teachers sleeping with students is a well covered phenomena even though the coverage often tends to be salacious due to the differing way society looks at male and female teens.
In society's defense articles about teachers sleeping with students are normally written about women who are on trial (though they tend to get less time than their male counterparts).
4) Matt Damon's comments were reasonable and likely reflect where the consensus will settle. Like with squirrelly piece shootings that won't make either fringe happy but they are never happy anyway.
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/12/17/matt-damon-slammed-by-ex-minnie-driver-over-comments-about-sexual-misconduct.html
Damon recently spoke to ABC News with regards to the recent outpouring of accusations of sexual misconduct against powerful men in Hollywood, arguing that a lot of false equivalencies are being made right now.
“There’s a difference between, you know, patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right? Both of those behaviors need to be confronted and eradicated without question, but they shouldn’t be conflated,” the star said.
5. Things getting more coverage when they happen to a celebrity is almost a tautology.
6. I confess A) I have not seen the cologne commercial in question and B) I have never wondered how Depp smells :) .
According to a complaint, a well known female Palestinian activist not only ignored sexual assault but punished an employee for complaining about it.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/12/17/linda-sarsour-accused-enabling-sexual-assault-harassment-in-workplace.html
“She told me he had the right to sue me for false claims,” Fathelbab said, adding that the assaulter allegedly “had the right to be anywhere in the building he wanted.”
Fathelbab claimed her attacker would sneak up behind her during work and rub his crotch on her.
“It was disgusting,” Fathelbab told The Daily Caller. “I ran the youth program in the building and with that comes bending down and talking to small children. You have no idea what it was like to stand up and feel that behind you. I couldn’t scream because I didn’t want to scare the child in front of me. It left me shaking.”
Fathelbab said her allegations would result in her get written up for disciplinary action. She told The Daily Caller she was once forced to talk to a detective from the community liaison division about the consequences of making false claims to the authorities.
After her contract was finished at the Arab American Association, Fathelbab said she had trouble getting new jobs.
Excuse me, but Eric Holder is making all sorts of threats...exactly what does he think he is going to do? call on his minions to rise up and overthrow the government? He's such a clown.
ReplyDeleteSo one of the first Matt Lauer accusers went on a talk show... of course. She admits the sex was consensual, but she claims the "harassment" angle came from "the power dynamic." Bullship.
ReplyDeleteIt's as most of us suspected: every woman who slept with someone to get ahead is now a victim. "Those brutish, powerful men had a responsibility, nay, a duty to reject the advances of the helpless, conniving women."
ReplyDeleteI feel like we're moments away from "seduction is not consent."
Have you noticed that the tune has changed since the harassment/rapist scoreboard has turned toward the "We Support Her" Lefty pundits, promoters, and heavy donors?
ReplyDeleteSuddenly the news is that "due process" is back on the agenda. Women (and Senators) who fought for weeks to make Al Franken resign have now decided maybe he should stay 'caus waht he is "accused of doing" was just harmless fun. Oh, and not ALL women should be believed...he deserves due process and investigation or something like that. (of course, after Moore was defeated)
Maybe they were listening to Matt Damon, who I wholeheartedly agreed with (which was scary in itself!).
Bev,
ReplyDeleteWhich senators oppose Franken's resignation? The only person a Google search turned up was W. Va's Manchin.
tryanmax, It feels like the #metoo movement has crossed that like of ludicrousness that is almost Victorian in mindset:
ReplyDeleteI, woman, am a helpless flower whose honor needs to be protected no matter I choose to act, and I am so ephemerally delicate that even me just thinking that I have been done wrong is enough to demand that my honor be satisfied.
Bev,
ReplyDeleteThis is what I was talking about the other day. I think the left is starting to push back against itself and is allowing the types of defenses they never allowed before:
Matt Damon: Hold on, there are shades of gray. Asking a woman out is not the same as raping her.
Ian McKellen: Some of these women are asking for it -- they even offer sex for roles.
Amy Smart: I know my husband and he didn't do it. (Some of my best friends are men...) (Some of this is coming up for Matt Lauer too now.)
Tavis Smiley/ESPN/Others: Those relationships were consensual.
The New York Post: "Believe all women" doesn't work.
Al Franken's Buddies (plus other liberals): You're too important to lose. (There are others saying this about Spacey now too.)
Of course, the screeching responses from the #yay!metoo! ranks have been out of control: you don't get it, women can't consent, women don't lie about this, etc. But I see the left starting to realize that the metoopurge is too much to allow. I think we will end up with the above defenses being valid and the result will be that the "rape culture" chickies will lose ground.
BTW, Bev, Minnie Driver, who is taking the lead in smearing Matt Damon, is now pushing this idea that men should not be allowed to comment on a woman's abuse claims. That's kind of 14th Century in mindset. And do you want to bet she would squeal like a stuck pig if we suggested that she could be accused and would not have the right to point out the laughable flaws with the accusations against her?
ReplyDeleteHere is more on this topic from 13 women:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spiked-online.com/newsite/article/meet-the-women-worried-about-metoo/20639#.WjhsO1VKuM8
Bev, Those are some very bright women. The #metoo women must hate them. They punch holes in all the BS, expose all the dangers, and correctly predict how disastrous all of this will be.
ReplyDeleteAnthony, in answer to your question, several Senators who came out immediately calling Frankenstein to resign, are calling for him to stay and get the "use process" he so richly deserves. Patrick Leahy for one and Sen Gillibrand who led the charge of WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED" after not and did and is back to "not" again.
ReplyDeleteBev,
ReplyDeleteI have not been able to find anything indicating Gillibrand has changed her position. Below is the relevant part of the most recent article I found.
https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/18/manchin-franken-senate-resign-300843
Two of the senators who issued resignation calls told POLITICO they felt rushed to weigh in, as they were focused on hearings and other meetings and pressure on Franken mounted. In retrospect they said they signed off on statements without the appropriate care and thought.
The feeling is not pervasive throughout the conference. Aides to several Democratic senators who called for Franken to step down, despite their conflicted feelings about doing so, said they remain comfortable with the move.
That includes Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand. The New York Democrat helped lead the charge against Franken the day that POLITICO published the account of a former Democratic congressional aide who said the former comedian tried to forcibly kiss her after the taping of a radio show in 2006.
Gillibrand has said that sending a clear message of zero tolerance is important, and that she was worried that the Ethics Committee process was being used as a shield.
“She has said, ‘He was entitled to a process, but he was not entitled to my silence,’” said one person who has spoken to Gillibrand about the decision.
Anyway it looks like the impressive tax bill will pass soon. It's wild the negatives are so high but I have a hard time imagining voters being angry about a tax cut even if they don't personally see much benefit.
ReplyDeleteDemocrats' professed concern for the deficit is hilarious. Everyone professes deep concern for deficit reduction when they are out of power. It's a critical thing that needs to happen after the important stuff is taken care of.
