More Thoughts...

More thoughts on stuff.

● Kylie Jenner tweeted today that she no longer uses SnapChat. The stock market immediately responded by stripping $1.3 billion in value from the company. It's sad to think that a Kardashian can have that kind of influence, but then SnapChat really was invented for the kinds of idiots who would follow the Kardashians. (Weren't the Kardashians the villains on Star Trek: TNG?)

● The parade of Olympic shame continues. Every single day, some athlete (or NBC announcer) makes a fool of themselves. Be it Lyndsey Vonn's twitter fight with Trump people or her dropping out of an event because "we don't have a great chance of winning" or complaining that she had to go first as a reason she lost, or an NBC announcer saying "the Chinese skiers all look alike", or the Jamaican bobsled coach quitting the team and taking the bobsled, or a French skier being sent home for saying he doesn't care about his teammates and ranting against them, or a curler failing a dope test, or a dozen more petty and stupid moments, these Olympics really have shown that many of these athletes are truly spoiled assletes. Today's stupidity involved a Canadian hockey chick ripping off her silver medal while on the stand because she was angry about losing.

● One interesting thought on the Olympics (not sure who said it): "If the Olympic Gold Metal isn't the most coveted award in your sport, then your sport doesn't belong in the Olympics." I would also add, if your sport can be "mastered" by average 17 year olds, then it shouldn't be either.

● Trump has apparently proposed: (1) banning bump stocks, (2) improving background checks, (3) raising the age to own guns to 21, and (4) is apparently considering an assault weapon ban. I'm very pro-Second Amendment, but none of these things bother me. What interests me more is that Trump is going beyond what the Democrats have always claimed they wanted and yet the left is flat out refusing to admit he has proposed these things. Why? Well, guns strike me as another area where the Democrats are all talk and terrified of action. They know this stuff doesn't work (not one tiny bit) and they use it only as a way to keep their drones (mainly white women) on edge that a solution is right there but the meanie white males won't give it to them. If the GOP passes this, it will disrupt their sales pitch beyond imagining. It will also drop yet another one of the reasons why white women stay away from the GOP. This could be bad for the Democrats.

● Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is making an absolute fool of himself in India. First, the Indian PM seems to be snubbing him by not meeting him as he has with other world leaders -- he's sent junior ministers instead. Secondly, Trudeau has been doing these touristy things which make him look like a tourist rather than a world leader. Finally, he and his family have been wearing these silly "Indian" outfits which apparently aren't accurate and are reeking of condescension.
Hopefully, this is all leading to war between India and Canada. That would be fun to watch.

● Finally, we have a film review at the film site: Black Panther, by tryanmax. Pop over and check it out: LINK.

Oh my God! A GERMAN skater skated to the theme from Schindler's List. My cynicism addled brain just knows there's something outrageous there even if I can't actually figure out what. I mean, come on: German. Schindler's List. It's obvious, right? Somebody needs to do something!

    Man, I'm so cool.

  2. By the way, I need to write about Jennifer Lawrence and the dress controversy. She just put a boot up the ass of a great many hateful basement dwelling women.

    I'll write about it soon.

  3. The Governor of Missouri sounds like a guy who have to go to college for four years to work his way up to moron. He had a consensual relationship with a woman not his wife (which has ceased to be a problem for most voters) but then commited a felony by taking nude photos of the woman without her knowledge to blackmail her into silence.

He admits the affair and the cops found the photos but he refused to resign, whining that the prosecution is partisan. Might work. Or might not. Time will tell.

  4. RE: Trudeau - I always laugh when these supposedly world-wise cosmopolitans do something cross-cultural in earnest that ends up making them look a fool. Far better to go abroad as a Canadian than to foolishly botch copying a culture you only think you understand. Trudeau was just asking for this, too. I mean, it's one thing to wear your outfits for one outing, but everyday? Just... Wow.

  5. Anthony, He sounds like a fool and probably should be removed from the system... and put into a different system.

  6. tryanmax, Trudeau's behavior is very condescending, which is so typical of elitist liberals. They see the rest of the world as children who need to be humored.

  7. I can't get past "A GERMAN skater skated to the theme from Schindler's List."

Does anyone remember those wonderful Olympics of yesteryear where we cheered on our national team on for national pride (and the Cold War)! Or the time when a gymnast during one of the floor exercises couldn't get her music tape to work, so a pianist who played for some Communist country's team stepped in and played the music on the piano right there spontaneously for her? Fun times...

  8. Bev, I think it really shows how fake the fake-outrage industry is. These people have NO idea what upsets them about this. In fact, if you look at the tweets, they all say things like "this just feels wrong" and "oh no she didn't." Not one person actually tells you what bothers them. The closest they come is "German + Schindler's List Uh, no."

It reminds me of David Letterman jokes where he would say something like, "George Bush eating a tuna fish sandwich" and then would strike a smug pose as his idiotic audience pretended to get the joke. Same thing here.

  9. In the book Ladies And Gentlemen The Bronx Is Burning the following passage is relayed. The Yankees are on the bus from their practice facility to somewhere else and Reggie Jackson, who was in a slump and drawing a lot of heat from the press and the fans, got into an an animated argument with Mickey Rivers. Finally a frustrated Jackson said "Look at me. Arguing with somebody to fu--ing dumb to read and write." Without missing a beat Rivers said"If I was you I'd stop fu--in' readin' and stop fu--in' writin' and start fu--in' hittin'." That reminds me of Lindsey Vonn. :)

  10. Trudeau's father was an idiot and his mother was something of a tramp...he seems to take after his dad. A resident of Seattle got triggered by a Norwegian flag, they mistook it for a Confederate flag..our governor was indicted for invasion of privacy...this is so trumped up it's ridiculous....the funny thing is that he was a Democrat when he supposedly did all this stuff..

  11. Today's Olympic scandal comes from another skier... a Canadian. He, his wife and his trainer got drunk and stole a Hummer for a joyride.

Seriously, these teams need a purge.

  12. More Olympic thoughtery...

The MSM has been trying to sell this as the women's Olympics because they've mainly only covered US women's events and US women's assletes. Sadly for them, most of these women have disgraced themselves one after another and few have won anything, but that hasn't stopped them from trying to turn them into national heroes -- even thought penis-owner Red Gerard is the only American hero so far.

    Then last night happened.

I guarantee you that America has a new set of heroes today... the men's curling team. They won the first gold medal ever won by the US in curling, and they did it as massive underdogs. Moreover, these are real people with real jobs who took down the elite team assembled by the US Olympic Committee just to get here. It's a great story and feminists will be pissed that MEN will again be the people Americans are interested in.

  13. It wasn't that Trudeaus' clothes weren't accurate as much as they came off as costumes. Indians love flashy bright clothes as much as anyone but he was literally changing outfits every event rather than wearing a simple everyday indian outfit that would be respectful. People were pointing out that even bollywood stars don't change costumes as much as Trudeau and his family did. It was absolutely patronizing behavior from a man who was supposedly on a state visit as a leader of his country. Dance like a fool on your own time, not when you're representing Canada.
