What 2020 will bring...

As we near the end of 2019, I say "Thank God!" 2019 has been brutal. Several deaths. Surgeries. Medical issues galore. A suicide threat. Five root canals! A failed set of braces. Destroyed appliances. Car issues that ran into the $10k range. Kids imploding spectacularly. A lost job. And so on. It even extended to our friends. It hasn't even quit yet. Just yesterday, we had a failed dental implant... these things don't fail, and a friend with an ulcer. So good riddance to 2019. If Karma is a thing, 2020 owes me big. It's going to need to make me an immortal billionaire just to even things out. I hope your year went better and I hope your 2020 is fantastic! Speaking of 2020...

It's time for predictions!

1. Buttguy wins the Democratic nomination.
2. Trump wins re-election in a squeaker. Dems keep the House, but don't win the Senate.

3. England finally gets its Brexit deal and the world does not end. England does not sink into the ocean. In fact, little changes, apart from the thousands of "see how bad it really is" articles that will highlight silly things like needing a passport stamp as if they are the end of the world. Look for Spain to start the breakup into three countries.

4. Stock market takes a serious dive in February, but recovers by November and ends the year right where it is now.

5. LSU wins the national championship by 40 points. The Saints get to the Superbowl and lose to the Patriots, who have been written off by their loyal fans, but will swear they had faith the whole time.

6. Hollywood realizes that they haven't made a genuine story in years and they all commit collective suicide. Wait, that's wishful thinking. In reality, they keep turning out superhero stories and raping old properties while spewing lies about being in it for the art. It's time for Mork and Mindy, Golden Girls, and Mr. Ed reboots. The public is screaming for those, especially with a genderfluid Mork, four gay old men as the Golden Girls, and a tranny Mr. Ed who wants to be a cow.

7. The world seems pretty stable, so I don't see any new wars or revolutions.

8. Greta Thunberg wears out her welcome when leftist celebrities get tired of being told they are expected to follow her advice as well. Accepting that other people need to be more responsible is more fun than having to be responsible yourself. She's then mysteriously run over by a German train... in Sweden.

9. The demographics people finally catch up with the truth and our whole view of the future changes as Hispanic growth peter's out, Asian growth soars, and mixed race kids are projected to become largest minority group in 50 years. I'll have to write an article on this. The genetics of it are going to be fascinating.

10. Finally, some truths come out: Buttguy is not actually gay... Warren is not American Indian... Harris is not black... Biden is not senile (Hillary is)... Cory Booker is a real person... Beto O'Rorke is now a stripper in Texas... Pelosi and Trump are Russian moles... Micheal Bloomberg secretly drinks soda from a 42oz cup (athletic supporter) at home... Andrew Yang hides in wine caves hoping to circumcise unsuspecting billionaires. It's all true.

What did I miss?

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Merry Christmas, my friends. I wish you all peace and happiness in this joyous time of year. Be with your friends and family and remember the things that are truly important to you. Remember why we are here. Remember that life is about the things we love, not the things we hate. Remember that forgiveness and caring are the core to happiness. Thanks for being here!

Interesting Shift

We're on the verge of Christmas, so be ready. Word on the street is that a man in a red suit is intending to commit a home invasion on your place. While you're waiting for that, here's an interesting observation about the election... specifically, the Democratic race.

They suck.

Just kidding. No, I'm not kidding about them sucking, I'm kidding that that was the observation. The real observation is that I'm seeing something that tells me the race just crystallized down to two candidates: Buttguy for moderates and Warren for moderates pretending to be progressives. Seriously.

What brought on this conclusion? The past two days have seen a strange surge in terms of famous people (especially Hollywood types, but others too) endorsing either Buttguy or Warren. It's like a damn broke. The pattern seems to be that white male moderates (and cross-over Republicans) are endorsing Buttguy. This includes Kevin Costner, by the way. At the same time, women and moderate blacks have been backing Warren. Confirming this shift, both Buttguy and Warren were the two targets at the last debate. That means the others see them as the leaders.

This is interesting in several ways. First, it leaves out Biden. I'm not surprised by that actually. For while Biden still leads Buttguy, the momentum is going in Buttguy's direction. Buttguy is rising and the media loves him. He's the one the progressives fear too and they've been smearing him hard, while moderates are rallying around him. At the same time, Biden's support is evaporating, the media does not love him, Obama does not support him and he's made some serious missteps. Letting it be known he would only serve one term is a huge mistake. So it's easy to see Buttguy ascending whereas Biden is fading away. I think this will prove itself in upcoming polls soon enough.

On the other hand, Warren is a strange choice for progressives. They've been slamming her for weeks now as not really progressive. So how can she be their candidate? These are different "progressives." These are fake progressives, like Obama, who have latched onto her because they see her as center left and a woman and that appeals to them. Real progressives have been savaging her for weeks now.

What I think is going on is that desperate moderates have realized that Biden is a dry well, so they have looked for another candidate. The males want Buttguy and are straight up selling him as a moderate who can replace Biden. The females want their female candidate and Warren is the only who doesn't seem nuts. But to keep other women in line, they need to sell her as a progressive rather than moderate (which means "old Democratic party" to women). Hence, she's mislabeled.

If both succeed, and I think they will, the race will come down to Buttguy for moderates and Warren for everyone else. Who wins that? Hard to tell. I don't know that Buttguy can attract old people or blacks like Biden. I don't think he can attract women who are the biggest voting block for Democrats. But the media will push his electability. That is a strong influence. Is it enough? Could be. Democrats are sheep, after all. The problem is: either one will be bad for Democrats. If either wins progressives will vote third party. If Buttguy wins, female turnout will be depressed. If Warren wins, she's perhaps one of the worst campaigners they have and her appeal is elitist; she'll never reach white male workers. Those are all bad things for the Democrats.

Who will win? Buttguy. He's more likable, more electable, and has media support. Will he beat Trump? I don't think so. I think the progressives walk and neither candidate brings back white males.

That's Debatable

So I saw parts of the Democratic debate. Don't ask me how or why. Basically, I was looking for white noise while I did something else. Huh, white noise. Is that racist now that they're all honkeys? Perhaps. I guess I should feel ashamed. I'll add that to my to do list. In the meantime, here is what I saw:

1. Bernie Sanders is old, but he assured us with his bent pointerfinger that he was white too (seriously), as he dodged questions like how he would pay for anything he proposed or what he really means to do with most of it. He's looking more and more like a crank. He made the most attacks of anyone in the debate (24 apparently). He kind of attacked everyone. Get off the commune's lawn you damn kids!!

2. Buttguy took a lot of fire. Elizabeth Warren warned us that he's the devil!! and he cavorts with Billionaires! He once worked for a consulting firm which recommended job cuts too. Then she chewed the cork off a domestic beer, insisted that her children went to sh*tty public schools instead of an elite private school, denied she made millions as a lawyer, promised to meet with some Injuns to apologize for lying about her Indian heritage -- the one she used to get into an elite law school and then become a high priced lawyer.... which never happened. She is SO not rich, or elite or privileged and not a wine drinker. Did you know Buttguy lets billionaires pet him for cash in a wine cave? Billionaires shouldn't exists. She would wish them into the cornfield. Oh, and she didn't mean she would ban all private insurance when she promised to ban all private insurance. Buttguy likes Billionaires.

3. Joe Biden only wants one term because two is too hard to remember. He looked sleepy and spoke least of the big candidates. But by gosh, he's got a letter from a doctor who swears that he's healthier than some people!

4. Andrew Yang wants women to run the world, except he should still be president. Then he would ban circumcision and pay college athletes and put on a tiger costume and growl for us all. Grrr, baby. No word if he would have a circumcision test for his cabinet, but he seems like the type.

5. There was a chick on stage. I'm pretty sure she was just there for decoration. She answered to Amy. She thought Buttguy was cute, but he lost a race in 2010 so he's automatically disqualified. She also said that Buttguy is so inexperienced that if he was a woman he wouldn't have made it that far! Not sure if she's saying that men are better or if she wants affirmative action for homosexual female mayors in Democratic debates. Probably both.

6. Sanders, Warren and Biden are all old and all white. But age doesn't matter, as you can be a retard at any age. Actually, they said that age is just a number... yes, a number which tells us what state your body and mind are most likely in.

7. The only nonwhite on stage was Yang, but he doesn't count as a nonwhite because he's Asian. So there are lots of articles about how the debate lacked diversity. Yang bizarrely said that he liked Harris, who is black, which I guess counts as virtue signalling in the awkward Asian community... or flirting -- Yang reminds me of the Asian guy who cries in Fargo. "I'm so lonely!" He then condescendingly said that he was sure Corey Booker would qualify for the next debate if he studies and keeps his grades up. But then he suggested the reason none of the nonwhites made it was some sort of strange conspiracy by (Democratic) donors. Actually, racist Democrats makes sense. By the way, Yang is selling $1,000 shirts with a rapper as a fundraiser. I think the guy's name is SirCmSiziO.

8. Did you know that Buttguy likes white billionaires?

9. There was some dude on stage too. Not sure who he was. He answered to "Tom" and he's a billionaire. He wants to pet Buttguy in his wine cave.

By this point, Warren is under full attack by her former progressive allies, as is Buttguy. Several of the dudes have been accused of sexual harassment, as is Bloomberg. Amy is accused of being a total monster to her staff. Warren has been caught repeatedly lying to try to prove she's not an elitist. She even tried swigging a hops brewed drink straight from the bottle on camera. She looked like a nun fellating a horse, it was that awkward. Biden is..., well, Biden and he rides the shortest of short buses. That leaves Buttguy as the most normal, but he's got billionaires in his wine cave. This really is a party of freaks and morons. They make Trump seem like George Washington.

Thoughts?

P.S. I'm laughing at how impeachment is falling apart. Yesterday, the Democrats were screaming that the Republicans are evil because they don't want to do their own investigation. How can we impeach if we don't know what really happened, they were whining?! “Are they going to literally vote against getting information we all know is quite relevant?” said Democratic Rep. Pete Welch. So let me get this straight. You didn't do your job despite years of hearings and now you expect the Republicans to do it for you? Are you f***ing nuts?

Ironically, today Pelosi decided to try to hold impeachment hostage by refusing to turn over the Articles of Impeachment. That was like the moment Cleavon Little put the gun to his own head in Blazing Saddles, only this time the town folk weren't stupid.

Interesting Times

This has been an interesting couple days. I think Trump may have won the election and Europe is about to change forever.

On the first point, we've had the failure of impreachment... uh, impeachment. Not only did it not help the Democrats, but the polls are suggesting that the opposition is actually growing. This seems backed up by three things: (1) Republican unity, which only happens when all the scaredycats are 100% sure they can't get hurt, (2) the downplaying of impeachment in Democratic ranks -- the media is almost ignoring it, the Democrats are rushing out to make other announcements, and there are open admissions that lots of Democrats will be voting against it, and (3) a growing number of angry, angry articles blaming the Democrats for their tactics and whining that they actually helped Trump. //snicker snicker This looks like it may save Trump.

At the same time though, to save their butts, Pelosi gave Trump a victory on the new NAFTA. Yes, there are articles today talking about how Trump didn't get everything he wanted and the Democrats really got the things they asked for blah blah blah, but they fundamentally misunderstand the math on this. The people who cared about changing NAFTA were white, male union workers in the battleground states. This treaty delivers on a promise to them from Trump. What's more, the Democratic additions were all pro-union. So the union guys got what they wanted. And while the Democrats will try to claim it was them and not Trump who gave it to them, that's not how politics works. Presidents get the credit/blame for treaties and this will help Trump with the very people he needs to win states like Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. It seems this will hand him the election.

Then we have this, Trump has announced a deal with China. Who cares about this? Well, the stock market. But even more so, farmers who had been bearing the brunt of the trade war. If China does buy more manufactured or farmed goods from the US, that again helps Trump with the very voters he needs in midwestern states like Iowa and Wisconsin.

In effect, the last couple days have shored up Trump's support with the very people I was afraid he was losing and I think he needs to be seen as most likely to win the battleground states now.

Then we have the British election. This was fascinating to me because Brexit was always a bit of a surprise that it passed, and it seemed that the British public had major remorse after the election demanding it. Then you have a years-long war of smugness against it by British elites. That seems like a change of heart should be coming. Yet, last night the British public overwhelmingly destroyed the left to make sure that Brexit happens. What interests me about this for us is that it suggest that "the public" (worldwide) is no longer willing to be led by the elites, especially when they get smug. We've been similar in the last couple election cycles and the British election suggests that despite the unity of media opinion, the public will rally behind Trump.

Yawn

What if we had an impeachment and nobody cared?

So the Democrats came out with articles of impeachment. This should be a BIG thing. This should be a headline dominating thing. This should an interrupt your football game for a special announcement kind of thing. And yet, I could barely find any mention of it on Yahoo. There was one small article buried in the rotation. Ditto on the other news sources I checked. Gee, it's like nobody cares?!

Then things got even funnier. Pelosi and Trump announced a revised version of NAFTA... and that became the big news. An event happened that could in theory destroy a presidency, an event the left has been salivating for since election night, and yet a revision to a treaty on trade was the big news. Not even that, the really big news was that Simon Cowel had lawyered up to defend himself against charges of creating a hostile work environment and some truly stupid whining in the wokesphere about a Peloton exercise bike commercial.

Interesting.

As an aside, the Democrats are taking flack because their top four candidates are all honkeys. This week, they visited Mexico Nevada to talk to the nation's largest Hispanic union and got a lot of unhappy comments about them all being white.

In related news, the Progressive left is savaging Buttguy right now because he's not leftist enough for them. They want Elizabeth Fauxcahontas. Meanwhile, in senile town, Biden has apparently told his staff he only wants to serve one term. That's going to hurt him with voters and give Buttguy the chance too slide in there. Yuck. Innuendo.

There are two movies that actually interest me this year. I want to see Clint Eastwood's Richard Jewell and I want to see 1917. I've seen the trailer for the remake of Revenge of the Jedi The Rise of Skywalker and I've discovered I just can't care about that. Disney Presents Star Wars is dead to me.

What about you?

Friday, December 6, 2019

Hmm. Interesting.

So let's talk about impeachment, particularly Pelosi's interesting move.

Let me start with what I've seen of the impeachment process, before we get to Pelosi...

Impeachment has been a disaster for the Democrats.

Before impeachment, I was pretty sure that Trump was doomed. Trump's overall poll number have remained steady, but he's lost support in key groups -- groups who will decide states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. In particular, he's losing a tiny slice of white working men and a bigger slice of suburban women. His support should be growing in these groups given the economy and the herd effect which makes these people vote for incumbents, but it's dropping. That's a problem, and it's resulted in disaster in the last half dozen elections for the GOP.

His problems include turning women off personally, trade fights that cost farmers dearly, not bending a little more pro-Union in the rustbelt, and now picking a series of strange fights with the military.

This was the trend when the Democrats began impeachment, a slow motion implosion for Trump.

Then came impeachment.

Impeachment was always a mistake for a number of reasons. The public doesn't like revenge politics. The Democrats picked an issue out of the Ukraine... where? The Democrats have been screaming impeachment for so long and about so much that they made it all but impossible to appear to state a legitimate case rather than just revenge. So things were going to go poorly.

But the actual hearings have been way worse than expected. Essentially, the Democrats brought in a small group of people with serious grudges against Trump who all gleefully testified that they knew nothing but they were sure that was meaningful: "I saw a man in a hat, Ukrainians wear hats, Trump must have had a quid pro quo. DESTROY HIM!!!" And the Democrats stroked themselves and called for ever greater punishments. This was obvious revenge porn. At the same time, the Ukraine came out several times to say they don't recall any sort of quid pro quo and the transcripts suggest that the things they Democrats say were talked about just never came up.

All told, it's a bust, and that's become obvious as the media doesn't seem to be able to find any themes or any dead horses to beat. Add in the clear bias of all the witnesses, the utter lack of even a warm gun (much less a smoking gun), and this is all very bad for the impeachers. See, to the average American, the lack of a 20 inch headline on every paper means that nothing has happened. Here you have the biggest issue of our time and it's not being covered on local news, the internet is more concerned with Jeffrey Epstein than Trump, and the media is strangely contemplate when they should be beating the drums of revenge.

Suggesting that this is all true, the polls just aren't moving. If anything, they're moving a tiny bit away from impeachment, and that has the Democrats freaking out. We know this because their candidates have started to avoid talking about the issue. Then several Democrats came out against impeachment. And now we're starting to see sour grapes articles saying that it might be better to leave Trump in place as an example to us all or something. Add in that not a single Republican has broken ranks, even Mitt Romney whose balls are in Nancy Pelosi's purse, and you have a total failure. Even worse, you have the sense that this has always been a witch hunt which has now been laid bare.

It's a disaster. How bad? Trump's support has firmed up and grown. He seems like the victim. Wow.

Now let's talk about Pelosi.

The Democrats are in trouble. The public has turned on them on this issue, but their progressive core wants blood, even as their moderate core wants to bail out (you see a lot of moderates arguing about getting it over with and moving on with the loss, even as progressives are claiming they could impeach him again and again if this one doesn't take). So the Democrats are in a trap: damned it they do, really f**ing damned if they don't.

Enter Pelosi. She suddenly announced that she is commanding the Democrats to impeach him. Huh.

So she's progressive, right? No. What she's doing is playing lightening rod. By ordering impeachment, she's basically taking responsibility for it. It will happen. Progressives will be happy. They will celebrate. But at the same time, all the "moderate" (worried) Democrats will now have the cover that they were forced to take the vote: "If I'd had my way, there would have been no impeachment... don't blame me for this, I washed my hands."

It's actually a brilliant move born of desperation. If she hadn't done this, the Democrats would have become the lemming party. Now they can claim it wasn't by choice. That may save some of the moderates. Will it be enough? Not sure. Will it satisfy the progressives? No, not once they figure out what it means. For now though, they will be in that post-coitus glow... until they realize, "Hey, you were faking!"

So we'll see how it plays out, but it strikes me this is an admission that impeachment has been a true disaster for them and they are on the verge of falling apart.

Another One Bites the Dust

Kamala Harris is dropping out. Both of her supporters are quite upset about this. So apparently, being the only black woman in the race was not enough to get Harris through to the presidency... or even to the first primary. I know what the media would be saying if this had been a Republican Primary, so I'll say it for them here: clearly, the Democrats are racists and sexists. They are gender-racists. Yup. Always picking the old white dude over women of color. For shame!

I think what I will miss most about Harris... uh... that she was Willie Brown's girlfriend. Other than that, I've honestly got nothing. I'm not sure what she stood for, except regretting throwing young black, male drug dealers and killers into jail. Beyond that, it all gets murky. I think she was in favor considering various issues though.

If there is a lesson here (other than Democrats being racist genderists), it's that you need to be screaming like a lunatic to get noticed by Democratic voters these days and be gay, white and male to get noticed by the media. Beyond that, it seems that you have no chance.

So congrats, Democrats. Better to chose an old white guy or a fake Indian than an inauthentic black woman.

Snowflakes and Wokeflakes

I hate snowflakes and wokeflakes. They are vile creatures.

Snowflakes are a generation of losers. They were "raised" by parents who never once told them no or let them face any adversity, and as a result, they have become pathetic and useless. Their response to the slightest bit of adversity, to anything that doesn't go exactly like they want it, is to whine whine whine. These are the losers who need safe rooms and puppies.

There is a commercial right now for this Oculus system that makes me sick just seeing it. In it, there is this bearded snowflake (the males grow beards to affect masculinity). This pathetic man-child ends up in the game with some woman and some kids (possibly his family, though I doubt anyone would marry him). As the woman in the commercial and the kids go flying around the game world, he's whining like a little b*tch about how he doesn't like zero gravity. And he finishes with the call of the pathetic... "I'm not ok with this." F-you. Die in a fire.

Seriously, these are the people you toss off the lifeboat even if you know you need to eat someone in ten days. They are useless as human beings, oxygen thieves. They are more helpless than infants, more whiny than a funeral procession, and have the judgment of a council of second graders. They are the cliche of a spoiled rich kid who can't tie their own shoes because their servants did it for them. And yet, they honestly expect the rest of us to cater to them. Again, f-you, die in a fire.

There's an article I've been meaning to write for a long time, but never got the chance. It's worth mentioning here. About a year ago, I saw the most snowflake thing imaginable. This came from an article passed around by the AP. It was about a woman who was upset that people talk about "fighting cancer." She felt it was wrong for all your healthy people and evil doctors to put that kind of pressure on people. Really?? This loser actually thought it put pressure on people to tell them to fight. Ok, dipsh*t, from now on I'll wish that you can reach a reasonable accommodation with your cancer. WTF? To be upset about that is absolutely pathetic. It is beyond pathetic. It is ludicrous that anyone can believe that. And yet, it's the core of snowflakism: "Don't put any pressure on me!!!" It makes me sick. These people make me sick.

Even worse are the wokeflakes.

That's a word I made up, but it fits perfectly (though maybe hateflakes works better). The wokeflakes are people who have weaponized their snowflakism. Not only are they pathetic, whiny creatures, but they are hateful little Nazis about it. They want their grievances to become a matter of law. Don't like something... ban it and destroy anyone who does. Thou shalt not say anything I don't like. Thou shalt not do anything I don't like. Thou shalt only say approving things to me. Thou shalt never judge me. None of these rules can be applied to them though, naturally, because they want the world to revolve around them and no one else.

These are the women of the #metoo movement: I can have sex and later change my mind. I can be a total slut, but you can't hold it against me, and you better not strike me as creepy or I'll judge you and destroy you. These are the blacks who scream racism when they face some hurdle that everyone else faces too. These are college sh*theads who protest and riot when they don't like the ideology of a college speaker, who try to oust professors who try to tell them that there are other beliefs, and who try to destroy the Harvard student newspaper for daring to ask an unpopular person for comment on an article tearing them apart. The list is endless because any pathetic personal grievance gets weaponized by these people: I should be allowed to use that whatever bathroom I want, you better revel in my perversion, how dare that movie depict smoking or guns or something opposite to my beliefs, how dare you suggest that being fat is unhealthy, how dare she "shame" me online for abandoning my kids for nine hours to get high!, that picture of you lounging in the bathtub made me feel bad about my body, that picture of your house made me feel bad about my wealth. Christine Louboutin just complained that feminists are "politicizing" high heels. Duh. They've been after anything defined as feminine for a long time. No pet peeve, no discomfort, no inconvenience, not shame is too minor not to be made into a national crusade for these people, and the left has stupidly embraced them as a new secret police in their continuing efforts to control society. Even Obama is seeing the mistake in this now.

Dying in fire is too good for this branch of the snowflake tree.

Probably should have put a warning at the front in case some snowflake comes across this. Maybe a link to a puppy. Although, that would be wrong for snowflakes with allergies. Hmm. Ok, so maybe a link to crayons... although, some of those could be considered racist. Hmm. Apple pie? No, gluten. How about a suicide prevent hotline? Hmmm, no, I wouldn't want to be accused of suggesting it's important to stop people from killing themselves. That might be too much pressure.

Apparently, in a world of dipsh*ts who complain about everything, nothing doesn't offend.

The Wrong Side of History?

Liberals love to talk about being on the wrong side/right side of history. It comes up all the time. Indeed, California Gov. Newsome used the phrase to discuss car makers who opposed its attempt to legislate them the other day... why, they're on the wrong side of history harrumph! Liberals love to say this. But let me point out a few things.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when they endorsed eugenics.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when they declared that overpopulation would lead to starvation.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their politicians interned Japanese citizens.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their magazines declared Hitler man of the year.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their justices declared separate but equal.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when they worked for Stalin.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their governors imposed Jim Crow.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their hippie legions smeared drafted American soldiers.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their leaders invaded Cuba and sent armies to Vietnam.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when they declared that we would run out of oil.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when they declared that industrialization would create a new ice age.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their politicians blacklisted Hollywood communists.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when they proclaimed that the Soviet Union would never be defeated.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when they defended slavery.

Liberals were on the wrong side of history when their leaders dropped the atomic bomb.

Liberals will also prove to be on the wrong side of history when it comes to creating yet another race-based ideology and a gender-based ideology, and standing in the way of technology and science they don't like, stifling free speech to protect their delicate sensibilities and impose ideological unity, seizing the medical system, and supporting religions that would happily throw their members off buildings.

Did I miss anything?

Bad Buttguy... The Snowflakes Descend

Oh oh. Could it be that Buttguy is a racist? The wokeflakes are whining that he just might be.

Get this! A couple months back, Buttguy put out his plan to pander to black people. It was called "the Douglass Plan", culturally appropriating the name Frederick Douglass, an abolitionist hero. In it, he leftistly babbled about "dismantling of racist structures and systems." All good, right?

Well, no.

It turns out that the contractor who assembled this little leftist kiss used a picture on the webpage. Naturally, the picture is of a black woman. But there's a catch. The contractor used a stock photo (like everyone else in politics and media)... and the stock photo was of a woman from Kenya!!! Take a look:

The horror! The wokeflakes suspect they are outraged! Apparently, there is something wrong with using a photo of a Kenyan to simulate an American. Indeed, said that hateful Somali woman in Congress, "This is not ok." Such a pedantic way to express oneself. Still, she has a point, doesn't she? Clearly, Buttguy.... well.... actually, I can't see the point at all. I honestly have no idea what's wrong with this. Everyone uses stock images. And it's not like she has a bone through her nose. If this was a German woman being used to advertise "the Washington Plan," I don't think a single honkey would care. So what is the big deal? Is this about taking American job (there's only one)? Is it that Kenyans don't understand the racism poor, comparatively-rich and free African Americans experience so it's not right letting them do "American face"? Are genuine Africans beneath African Americans, like some Japanese v. Korean sort of grudge? Do you think Buttguy was playing a game with you? What is the problem?!

I'm thinking the big deal is that a white man did something involving blacks and the wokeflakes found a way to attack it. That's really all I think is going on here. White man + mention of blacks = must find something to call racism. Yep. It's racist because they want it to be racist, and the photo is the excuse they used to get all smug. Other than that, I can't imagine how this could offend anyone.

Help me out, people. What makes Buttguy the villain here?

The Age of Intentional Self-Delusion

It's a delusional sort of world.

● "Trump engages in cannibalism," said reliable independent witness Nancy Pelosi. The impeachment rolls on... and not a person I know is paying attention and no one anywhere I've been at has been talking about it. Other than the breathless, unbiased media of course and some Hollywood types. Yawn. It's fitting that the biggest bit of news seems to be that a drag queen is covering the hearing. Welcome to the circus.

● So they have shockingly discovered that pot addiction is 25% higher for teens in states where pot was legalized. No, that can't be. Pot is safe and cannot lead to addiction. It has no negative side effects at all. Also, legalizing it has ended crime, saving Mexico from cartels, and brought in unlimited revenue for schools so no one needs to ask for tax increases ever again. FACT... well, FACTish.

● Buttguy, the favorite candidate of the media because he's just like them -- white, gay and pointless, is moving up according to the media. Yes, yes, it isn't reflected in the polls, but it's still true. There are some people who think he might win in Iowa and if that happens, then he's guaranteed to win the White House... says the media. Black people and the public seem to disagree, but what do they know?

● According to Gallup, did you know that 13% of Americans know someone who died DIED because they couldn't get medical care because they couldn't afford it?!! That's 34 million Americans! gnashes teeth Will no one think of the children? Out of curiosity, can anyone name any of these people?

● Elizabeth Warren's "Medicare for All" plan (should probably be called "Medicare for None") will break the economy, the budget, and the backs of workers. Just wait until Uncle Sam rapes another 35% out of your wages off the top. Even Bernie has attacked this as impractical. Fortunately, his Medicare for All plan is free.

● Deval Patrick, who was Obama before Obama -- a prepackaged black man with no views, a non-negro inflection (thanks Harry Ried!) and he would say "beyond race" "beyond race" when you pulled the string Paul Axelrod attached to his back... is going to run for President. This actually makes sense in a way. Kamala Harris who wanted to be the black candidate (and the female candidate) has flamed out, leaving black people without a viable hat in the ring. Patrick would fill that nicely, except he has a penis and the Democrats don't seem to like that this year. I get the sense his problem though is that he's going to try to be rational and the Democratic electorate is wildly f*ucked up by this point... haters of every stripe all banded together by their intolerance. So we'll see how he plays. The fact he and Bloomberg are looking to jump in suggests how poor the current field is. Personally, I hope they run the Asian guy who wants to ban circumcision.

Random Thought Monday

Some random thoughts. Let us begin.

(o) Does it seem that "AI" has become a buzzword and nothing more? There are several ads out there right now touting how AI is doing things we couldn't otherwise do... all praise the great machine. But none of them really deal with anything that needs what I would consider AI. For example, one involves an "AI" that turns on a camera every time a mountain lion comes near.... all praise the great machine. Oddly, my neighbor's garage does the same thing without an "AI." It just has a motion sensor. So are they really talking about AI or are they just using the term? There are articles being written too about how "AI" is going to kill us all.... all praise the great machine. But they seem awfully short on specifics. Again, I don't think they have any idea what "AI" they are talking about.

Frankly, I'm thinking it's just become a buzzword, a way to say "our stuff does cool things." I don't see anything that leaves the realm of programming and goes to actual intelligence.

(o) Yahoo are such leftist aholes. Trump attended the Alabama/LSU game. They wrote articles calling this a "bipartisan headache" -- something they never did when Obama went to sports events. Then he was greeted with huge cheers. Now they can't mention the positive greeting it without dismissing it as "unsurprising." I never heard anyone in the media dismiss positive greetings Obama got that way.

(o) Interesting article today at Politico asking why so many people don't seem to see that Trump has a sense of humor and that many of his tweets are quite funny and poke fun at himself. The answer is that obsessive people view everything their target does as evil. It's that simple.

(o) Did you know that most of the chocolate you buy isn't chocolate? It's chocolate flavored sugar. I didn't realize that until I started eating actual dark chocolate for health reasons. It's kind of shocking actually to discover that some "chocolate" candy bars are only around 3% chocolate... if that.

(o) Do you remember me telling you about a series of commercials for Northwestern Mutual that reeked either of angry feminism or angry misogynism? There was an architect who was oppressed by her male boss, a little girl holding her parents hostage with anger for taking her on vacation, and an angry narcissist monster who was raging at her dad. I pointed out that each of these had such a twisted display of women that it either had to be out of control feminists who approved this or total woman-haters. I also pointed out that they quickly changed the narcissist's behavior (because the ad was intolerable and probably received harsh feedback), making her an airhead... not an improvement. They have since dropped the other two. Maybe they should have run those by someone who doesn't grievance with their genitals before signing off?

Anyways, there's a new ad that makes me shake my head. It's an ad for "Haven Life", some form of insurance. The problem with this ad is they are clearly selling to women and the caricature of women they use is awful. In the name of sympathizing, they begin with the "It's time you did something for yourself" victimology that is so prevalent in chick-power-pop, i.e. Taylor Swift. Ok, lots of ads do that. I get it. But then this: in a voice quivering with simultaneous relief and desperation, the female narrator tells you that this life insurance is something you can finally do for your family... you can protect your daughter from vague forces... it will make the world less horrible... it's so simple even you can get it... gosh, it's a reason to finally smile... and about life insurance of all things! wipes away tear. So let me get this straight. Finally, someone has come up with life insurance that even a dumb little girl like you can understand, and it will make the big bad world better and it can even protect your daughter before she's victimized just like you. Best of all, it's the first thing in your miserable life you can smile about. Yay!

Seriously, who wrote this sh*t. If I was a woman, I would go nad punch the bastard. I get what they are doing. They are playing on women's fears, but the fears they list speak volumes to how they see women. I wouldn't be too flattered if that was me they were trying to sell. And do you know what? I don't know any women who buy this caricature.

(o) I've been watching old Doctor Who lately and it just blows me away how clever and well-written that stuff was. It puts all the modern shows to shame.

How are you?

Re-Election Thoughts

Predicting the future is about data. What do the vague shifts in public opinion, as seen through actual actions and must less worthwhile polls, translate into? Well, we're looking at a lot of data right now about Trump's chances for re-election and the future is cloudy.

Here's what recent data say:

A pretty big majority in a poll think Trump will be re-elected. Even 35% of Democrats think this. That suggests that the public is leaning toward re-election and the Democrats feel isolated and demoralized... which would make re-election a self-fulfilling prophecy. The "what is everyone else thinking" question is usually quite good at gaging public opinion. And I can believe this for a number of reasons. First, all the anti-Trump energy in the public has vanished. He is simply a fact. That tends to mean acceptance. Second, I personally know a lot of core-democratic voters (blacks, single women, families on welfare) and they have stopped talking about Trump. That's demoralization. At the same time, some of the more rational ones have even started to like him. Third, the utter lack of energy surrounding impeachment tells me that the Democrats are demoralized. Advantage Trump.

But, the GOP got beat in Kentucky, especially in the suburbs. The GOP should not lose in Kentucky. And losing the suburbs is a horrible sign. It's true that Gov. Bevin was constantly in the news for pissing people off, but still. Advantage Democrats.

But a swingstate poll, where the election will be decided, shows Trump only 1 point behind Biden in the rustbelt. Usually, polls are very anti-GOP until election day. So that means Trump is stronger than he looks. Advantage Trump.

I suspect the internal polling is strong for Trump. Why? I kind of agree that Trump is the kind of guy to quit if it looked like he was going to get humiliated in the election. Also, the lack of other big name Democrats jumping in (e.g. Newsome, Bloomberg) against this weak field suggests the Democrats see the same numbers. That said, this was the exact reason Bill Clinton won. He ran when all the bigger names thought Bush looked unbeatable... and he wasn't. But I think the internal polling argument is stronger. Advantage Trump.

Other polls show consistently that impeachment hasn't moved a single opinion. So the big Democratic weapon is a dud and will become the big Democratic distraction. Advantage Trump.

So what does all of this mean? Well, a lot of it points to Trump. But those are polls, except for the internal polling thing which involves people making choices about running or not. So it would seem the advantage belongs to Trump. But elections are much stronger than polling for getting at true public opinion. So Kentucky (and Virginia) are problematic. At this point, I think it's all too close to call honestly.

Thoughts?

Afterthought: There is a Democrat killer lurking out there... Medicare for All. Even leftist Yahoo has written unflattering pieces about the cost of this. Not only have they pointed out the idea of a 42% sale tax, but they are considering as an alternative an additional 35% payroll taxes. Can you imagine another 35% of your income vanishing off the top? If places like Yahoo aren't hiding this, then the public will know and they will freak. the. f. out!

Impeachment Thoughts

Fine. I wasn't going to talk about impeachment. What a waste of time. But I guess it's required. Here are my thoughts.

1. An interesting poll says it all. Only 48% of the public supports impeachment. That's 10% of Republicans, 46% of Independents and 83% of Democrats. This tells me several things. First, if you can't get 51% of the public to support destroying Donald Trump, then you've done it wrong. Secondly, the non-aligned public is not buying into impeachment -- almost 6 in 10 independents are not on board. That dooms it. The 10% never-Trump Republicans are outweighed by the 17% pro-Trump Democrats. (I suspect it's actually 5% and 9% with the rest just being strategic answerers.) That suggests improved chances of re-election.

2. The Democrats are whining that the Republicans aren't giving them political cover. Really? Did they honestly think the Republicans would help them? Fools. As an aside, the fact the Democrats are worried speaks volumes.

3. The Democrats have some serious disadvantages here. (1) The public doesn't like this kind of crap. It reeks of a coup. It reeks of game playing. (2) They are doing this over something that happened in the Ukraine. The public doesn't give a rat's rear end about the Ukraine. Pick a country that matters and where people can pronounce the names. (3) They have picked a reason that everyone assumes all politicians do, so there's a huge "Why are you doing this?" factor. That means this will wear out fast and poll numbers will sink without fireworks. (4) It also hurts that the Democrats have been screaming "impeachment" about everything that hits the news cycle. That makes this seem manufactured.

4. The Democrats' biggest ally (only ally) will be Trump doing something stupid. Oh, don't get me wrong. They'll parade a bunch of pasty government types who will all shake their heads and gnash their teeth at the evil Umpalompa who made them somethingsomethingoshvilli, but the public will only care if Trump puts his foot in his mouth.

5. The Republicans holding together suggests this thing is DOA in the Senate and will become a turnout generator for the Republicans and a depressor for the Democrats. That could change if the polls change, but I don't see any change in the polls coming. The public has made up their minds and nothing anyone says will change it.

6. The Democrats have no one who can exploit this in any event.

Crazy and Anti-Crazy

Crazy is as crazy does, and the left does a lot of crazy.

● Bernie won't tell us how he will pay for his medicare for all plan. Actually, let's make that how you will pay for his medicare for all plan. Why? Because it will take a 42% sale tax to do it. Are you ready for a $7 twelve-pack of coke? An extra $9,000 on a cheap car? Probably not.

● Facebook is getting rid of the eggplant and peach emojis because bad people are using them denote sex. We can't have anything that makes people think of sex online, after all. Nope. Oh but they are adding a blood splatter so people can emote a period because that's useful. Of course, they haven't yet realized that men will be sending this about women: "Wow, she must be on her (bloodsplatter)." Once Facebook's algorithms figure this out, I'll bet the period will vanish... and probably the period-period for good measure. Idiots

● Twitter erupts when Trump...

● Obsession for the orange one is the new black.

● Speaking of black, both Obamas are running around saying that white people are "afraid" of black people and there's "nothing you can do to fix that." Hmm. Why are they saying this? Here are some thoughts.
1. I think the Obama's are hoping to give an explanation for racism that (1) exculpates blacks for their own behavior and (2) will ensure it can never go way. Basically, racism is an instinct, which means racism will always be with us. Yay! That means all you honkies are racist whether you know it not... through no fault of your own... so stop pretending that racism is over and start handing over the racial reparations.

2. On the other hand, the Obamas may be playing the gay game. Gays always went with the idea that straights feared them (homophobia), with the idea being that once we straights learned that they were just like us and there was nothing to fear, all would be good. Based on this, Hollywood and the left set out to make gays seem normal and that worked. Forget the fact that gay men have hundreds of nameless partners. Forget the fact that lesbians hate men or that crossdressers seem to despise women even as they sort of emulate them. Forget the diseases and the ties to child-sex-advocates and the fact these people focus their lives around sex. Forget all of that... they're just like us! Yay. Anyways, it worked.

It won't work for blacks though. The main reason is that black culture (as pushed by rappers, athletes, actors, politicians and intellectuals) is not trying to convince whites that they are like whites. Black culture is trying to push hard the other way. It is trying to present itself as ultra-macho, entitled and separate. It is a culture that celebrates aggression, celebrates disloyalty to America, demands unearned privileges, determines right and wrong by race rather than action, and makes whites the boogeyman for all that is wrong. None of that is going to lead whites (or others) to say, yeah, they're just like us! Instead, it will continue to exacerbate the view that blacks, as a group, are dangerous. If this is the Obama's goal, then they need to change black culture to make this idea work, and that's not happening. If anything, in my lifetime, black culture has become increasingly hostile, angry and separatist even as more and more individual blacks seem to fitting in much more like everyone else.

3. Or they're repeating something they read.
I suspect the answer is No. 1, but I wouldn't rule out that this is the opening salvo on some new media strategy. I guess we'll see. Watch for evidence.

● Lastly, Herr Obama made an "attack" on "woke culture" yesterday. Roh roh. Apparently, he is seeing the danger of having a gaggle of self-righteous little Nazis trying to destroy all persons who are not sufficiently pure in their eyes. But I have no sympathy, Mr. Obama. These are your babies. You created them. You taught them outrage. You encouraged their tantrums and their intolerance. You fed them and still feed them. They will not go away now (unless you cut off their internet)... and they will eat you alive all in the name of tolerance. In fact, the reason they are such a danger to the left is because the left humors them. Our side writes them off as snowflakes and doesn't given a flying eggplant what they whine about. Your side stupidly gives them power. So, too bad. Live by the retard... die by the retard.

People Are Dumb

Ug, the news.

● They killed the leader of ISIS. Good. See you in hell, a-hole. Now kill all the rest. They don't deserve to live.

● Trump impeachment... don't care. Really don't care. This is the world of the deranged jerking themselves off into a frenzy and I honestly don't care. Unless they get him, it won't help them (won't change a single opinion), and I don't think they get him even with Mitt Romney leading the persecution. So this is all just pointless theater... bad losers tipping over the gameboard in a tantrum.

● We all know that feminism is everywhere, right? And all women are now feminists and most men and even some animals, right? Well, guess again. There's a fascinating recent poll about the scope of feminism. It asked 40,000 Europeans and it found that Sweden was ranked as the most feminist country. No surprise there. And yet, only 46% of Swedes consider themselves feminists. In Denmark, by comparison, 40% considered themselves "feminists." This is in Europe which has leaned left and been awash in political correctness for a long time, and yet only 4 in ten believe this... the same percentage of Democrats in the US. Based on this and all the other 40% support idiocy, it sounds like there is a cap on human stupidity and it's right around 40%.

Even more interestingly, wanna guess the percentage in the US? 20%. 23% of women, 16% of men. That's it. That's not even half of all Democrats. Interesting, isn't it? Apparently, feminism isn't as influential as it wants you to believe.

● A Democrat is resigning. Shocking. All she did was have group sex with her staffers and smoke pot through a bong covered in Nazis symbols. Perhaps she should have worn blackface, then she could have gotten off with a promise not to get caught doing it again.

● Speaking of Nazis, the left is now openly against free speech. The latest, but by no means the only, is the little Swedish troll kid. She wants Facebook to ban opinions she doesn't like. Several hundred dipsh*ts at Harvard also want the school newspaper somethingsomethingburnedatthestake because it committed the crime of asking ICE to comment on a hateful anti-ICE protest at the school. Apparently, the idea of letting ICE comment on something is a crime against humanity. Black uniforms are next.

● California is on fire. See ISIS above.

Terminator Dark Bait, or whatever it's called, is not "the Terminator film we've been waiting for." No one has been waiting for another Terminator film.

Should We Pay College Athletes?

The year is 1919. Concerned with athletes being rife with corruption, the left swings into action and bans college athletes from being paid so that all the money men, bribes, and sponsors lose their influence. From this day forward, athletes will only be under the influence of their coaches and schools. Flash forward to 2019. Concerned that it's "not fair" that schools make money off of athletes and athletes don't, the left swings into action and decides that athletes should be allowed to earn money off their images... and sponsors... and possibly more. Flash forward to 2119.... rinse and repeat.

For those who don't know, the Democrats have jumped on the issue of letting athletes earn money through sponsorships and the such. After all, it isn't fair that colleges can make money on these athletes, but they get nothing. Let's debunk some of this, shall we?

1. Dirty capitalist exploiters. Actually... note that it is leftist colleges who are exploiting the "free labor" of student athletes. It's funny how often leftists are the bad guys in leftist passion plays.

2. There's no reason not to pay them though! Actually... note that the reason students were prevented from being able to get sponsors and sell their images was rampant corruption in college athletics in the 1920s. Banning the money helped. Will corruption come back? Well, Nike and Adidas already have been caught bribing athletes to steer them to specific programs. That will become commonplace now that we're going to put the money back in to fix "unfairness."

3. But it is unfair that athletes get nothing. Actually... note that student athletes actually get a lot. Between room and board from scholarships, athletes can get up to about $400,000 worth of benefits for playing. Note that they get special treatment on campus. Note that they get into schools they otherwise wouldn't and can claim to have those degrees which better qualified kids will never get because the athletes take their spots. Who's the real victim here?

4. But we all know that athletes are just waiting to turn pro, the education means nothing! Actually... note that only around 1% of college athletes have a chance of turning pro at any level, so the idea that this is a career track -- which underlies the thinking -- is false except for a handful of people. So the education is the real benefit and it is a HUGE benefit.

5. But why should colleges get the money... it's the athletes that draw people in. Actually... colleges build the stadiums and they build the brands that give the athletes the chance to exploit their images. Without the colleges, the athletes would have nothing. What's more, colleges use the money to improve student life, to pay for scholarships, to fund other sports and other programs. Are colleges well run? No, but that's a different issue that doesn't get solved by giving athletes more money.

6. Still, it's all about fairness. Oh, is it? Note that the only beneficiaries of this will be men's football and basketball with a smattering of other athletes around the nation. College runners, swimmers, gymnasts and volleyball players are nobodies... Olympians matter in those sports, college athletes don't. How do you think the left is going to respond when 95% of the money goes to young men and 95% of that goes to young men who will be millionaires a year or two after getting famous at college? Sports is the ultimate meritocracy and the public only cares about certain sports and only certain positions at that.

Ultimately, I don't care. Sports is sports. It's a business. It's corrupt. This is millionaires verses billionaires, so who cares. But don't kid yourself that this will make anything fair or will fix anything. Gobs of money corrupts, it does not purify. And the problems sports have and colleges have cannot be fixed be dividing a corrupt pie into more parts. If you want to fix this, rid the pie of corruption. Require transparency. Be honest about the debate. But that's not what the left does. It tries to fix complex problems with the easiest sounding solutions and then it struggles to fix all the problems its solution causes until enough time passes that the definition of fairness changes and they advocate what was once considered the bad guy side all over again. Then you repeat the play from that side. See you in 2049.

Have A Coke And A Smile and F* Off

You might recognize the Richard Pryor line. That's kind of the mood I'm in regarding corporations and Democrats.

● McDonalds and I are breaking up. The health reasons are part of it. I’m eating more healthy now. But truth be told, McDonalds hung in there despite that. What finally got me was that they just had another price increase, making McDonalds almost as expensive as a sit-down restaurant, and at the same time they switched to these plastic cups that just happened to be 2-3 ounces smaller than the paper cups. This angers me. I’m really sick of corporate America pulling this. Company after company is cutting the amount and quality of product they give you while increasing the price and they are all trying to sneak it past you. I’ve become very conscious of this and I’m dropping companies who do it. A dozen national chains are now on the boycott list and a large number of pre-packaged products. The funny thing is I don’t miss them like I thought I would when I dropped them. I don’t even feel nostalgic for them because once they’re gone, I quickly realize how little I actually liked them in the first place.

● Cost cutting is corporate America’s answer to wanting greater profits without winning an audience. It’s a fools choice, but that’s who runs corporate America – fools.

● So Bernie had a heart attack and the memes are fantastic:
I can’t see them running him anymore. Of course, I never could imagine them running a 108 year old in the first place. Oh wait, Biden is 107, Hillary is 666, and Fauxecohontas is a relatively youthful 104. Interesting how they have no younger people in their party. They should run Maxine Waters as VP... just for color.

● Friend of the site tryanmax predicted about a year ago that they Dems will go back to Hillary. He might be right. I thought she would be dead at this point, but somehow she lurches on. Has no one a stake or a handful of garlic?

● Speaking of corporate America, there is a war going on between BIG insurance and BIG doctor. I’m getting tons of ads on this dealing with “surprise billing.” The doctors claim there’s already a solution in place, except medical billing is so f**ed up that I often times get surprise bills 9-12 months after the fact... not that insurance is any better. But that’s not the point. The point is that this is the fruits of Obamacare and decades of liberals injecting the government into the healthcare system. This mess is the government’s doing and the proposed solutions of government intervention will only make it worse. The system is broken and that’s Congress’s fingerprints are all over the body.

● Oh no! Joker uses a song that’s played in every area but was written by a pedophile! The horror... the horror. How can anyone do such a thing?! Ban the film.

Some Evil Thoughts

More stuff...

● Allow me to play the cynic. This cop in Dallas? Amber Guyger. She shot and killed her neighbor (I think he was actually one floor lower if I remember correctly). The killing makes no sense and there seems to be no motive whatsoever -- the media is trying to find racism, but there is really no motive or reason available. So why would a police office go to the wrong floor in her building, somehow walk through a door that should have locked automatically, wander into an apartment that isn't hers, and shoot a man who, from the witness testimony, identified himself and didn't act aggressively at all. A real mystery right?

So anyways, she got convicted and sentenced to ten years. In her sentencing, the brother of the dead guy raced over and hugged her. The media is turning this hug into some sort of fantasy statement of forgiveness and human goodness, anti-racism, etc. etc. But here's the thing. Check out the hug online. This was not two people who didn't know each other hugging out forgiveness. This was two lovers hugging on the eve of disaster. This was the hug of someone who is afraid they will never see someone important to them again. It seems clear to me that they are lovers... and suddenly, it seems we have a motive. Wanna bet she and the brother were dating and somehow this all got folded into her a reason to kill the brother? I would bet good money that they end up marrying while she's in jail, or right after she gets out.

● Greta Thunberg, the monkey on a stick child getting lots of press about global warming, is going to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for "Aw, isn't that cut" -- that's what Obama got his for too. Her list of achievements includes make a stinkface at Trump and... well, that's about it. I actually like Putin on this. He's one of the few world leaders to point out that she's mistaken, that she's been programmed by the adults in her life, and that her philosophy would condemn the third world to staying backwards economically. Everybody is basking in the virtue signalling of letting her pretend to chastise them.

● Whatever happened to David Hogg? I guess his 15 minutes ran out.

● STDs are on the rise in the 65 and older category. How strange that 65 year olds are suddenly acting that way! What could possibly be causing that? Oh, that's right: baby boomers. This is supposed to be shocking news, but it's not. Just like divorce is a baby boomer specialty and very age category they entered suddenly saw a boom in divorce, VD is the same thing. Soon there will be a shocking headline about drug use in the over 65 crowd.

A Quick Post

A short one today.

● According to the latest from FearMonger.com, by 2020, the world's coastal cities could be facing non-denominational-Biblical world-ending storms and other events every year. Of course, they could also be facing butt-probing alien invasions, floods of honey, and STD carrying robots every year too. Me thinks someone forgot to carry a one in that equation.

● The Democrats seems to be facing momentum on impeachment suddenly. I hope they do it. That could only end poorly.

● It looks like attempt number two at making Justice Kavanaugh into a rapist has failed and is dying miserably. That's the problem when your story is made up.

● It's funny how you can sense things about people. Do you remember "Thomas" from the Verizon ads? The guy rubbed me seriously wrong. He was a total snowflake virtue signaler who thought he was lovable because he faked being humble. You could see it was an act. And in fact, in one of the last ads, they had some people disagree with him and he was supposed to playfully be upset by this, but he flashed serious anger at not getting his way -- very snowflake. Well, now the guy has announced that he "saved his marriage" by telling his wife (who looks really unhappy) that they are going to have an open marriage and both are going to be able to see other people. Some marriage.

This reminds me of the real problem with the sexual liberation movement. Feminists thought it would liberate women from male oppression, but it really only made it acceptable for self males to abandon their mates. That's essentially what Thomas has done here. He's turned his wife into nothing more than a mistress and he's proud of that. Welcome to the snowflake generation... no sh*tty selfish deed is too much not to be proud of.

● Trump should not be fighting this Greta kid. He should just ignore her. As for what she says, I don't care. She's just the latest monkey on a stick -- a child programmed to be a self-operating prop by liberal parents. The parents should be ashamed.

● And speaking of ashamed, fresh from their massive carbon use to party at Caan, the celebrity world is blowing carbon to be at New York fashion week now. Don't lecture me about wealth or environmentalism aholes.

● I thought I had broken a tooth on Sunday, so I went to my dentist. Got in yesterday. I've now discovered why my summer has been so miserable! (Apart from kids lol). The tooth wasn't broken. I had a one inch by half inch piece of infected bone that had broken loose during the July surgery work its way up through the gum along the teeth. He pulled it out yesterday. Yay.

What A Weekend!

This was one of those weekends, to add to one of those months to add, to add to one of those years.

● Spent Saturday night (about 7 hours) in the ER after my father fell. He's alright, so that's good. But he said something that bothered me. I was there with him the whole time of course, but he thanked me for coming. I said of course I would be there, and he said that it seems a lot of people wouldn't do that anymore. This statement bothers me. I've been wondering what he sees in the world that makes him think that's true. Have we become that shitty as a human race that this could be true? I know some people that I doubt would go... that makes me really sad, actually. It seems like the shitty among us keep finding new depths.

● Ric Ocasek died, adding to the toll of dead musicians in the past year. I guess there's a race between musicians and billionaires to see who can pile up more dead this year. I don't miss the billionaires. I do miss the musicians. That actually confirms something to me that I think conservatives have wrong: artists are more important than businessmen.

● Felicity Huffman got sentenced to 14 days in prison for the college bribery scandal. This has brought howls of "white privilege." Ridiculous. The reason she got no real jail time is because her "crime" involves handing large amounts of her own money to a school in the hopes that her kids could enroll there. Who is actually harmed by that? Yes, I know, some other student who didn't make it, right? Yeah, but since she could have donated the money openly and gotten the same treatment, is there really a genuine harm? Now compare that to all the "innocent" young black men we're supposed to believe are in jail because they lack white privilege. (White privilege apparently extends to black women, as they don't go to jail either.) What did they do to get there? First, most (like their white prisoner cousins) have long, long, long histories of violence, robberies, B&E, beating their girlfriends, etc. NONE of them are in on a single charge. And what they did was shoot a fellow black male over drug turf, beat a black girlfriend to a pulp, rob and beat some old black woman for her money, or rape someone. Don't talk to me about white privilege over this. That's BS. A white woman who gives away millions in a bribe to help her daughter is not the moral equivalent of thug who terrorizes his own neighborhood and destroys lives.

● Also on Huffman, I do think that this scandal has exposed the issue with elitism. But I find it rather disturbing that the elitist left is crapping on her as a sacrificial lamb. They're all doing it. They're all rigging the game. They all protect their own across the board for all their behavior. Burning Huffman at the stake will not rid them of that stain.

● I think the Democratic field is set, and much quicker than expected. No outsider jumped in. Starbucks guy bailed out. The fringe freaks are done, even if some are still talking. I think we're looking at Biden v. Bernie v. Warren with a VP lineup of Harris, Buttguy, and (insert accent-wall outsiter here).

This Week in Stupidland

I swear people just keep getting more and more stupid all the time. Maybe it's time for another Bible flood or a good plague: "Giant crickets descended from the Heavens and ate everyone with a coexist bumper sticker... and it was good.

● Margaret Attwood, author of the feminist wannabe-victim porn Handmaiden's Tail, which inspired far-left elitist white women to come in costume to Senate hearings to show how little grasp they have on reality, now tells us that she thinks it's "empowering" for women to work at strip clubs. //scratches head Hmm. I'm confused. See, other feminists tell us that forcing women to work at places like that is meant to oppress women (and they're all "forced" by male pressure, btw). Wait, I get it... so the feminist position is that women should be allowed to work at strip clubs so long as men don't enjoy it. Got it. Phew. I'm glad we solved that one!

● Kamala Harris is worried about "segregationists." Seriously. So either she spent the week at a black power rally, or she got stuck in the wayback machine, or she's making that up to try to upset black people... or white women who drive Subarus. Who knows. Let's hope she finds the segregationists she's looking for.

● Biden is worried that Trump is changing the character of the country. Hmm. This is from the king of a group of idiots who want to import vast number of poor brown people who don't speak the language and have no Western tradition, decry every tradition known to man, try to use thought police to change the way people think, want to remove historical figures from history, believe that pledging allegiance to America is racist, want to disarm the military, set criminals free, eliminate meritocracy, ban cigarettes and soda and sugar, take away guns, eliminate the car, ban free speech that doesn't favor them, convert the press into a leftist attack dog, and neuter or omnipowerize the presidency depending on who has it or stack the court or eliminate the fillibuster. And you're worried about Trump? Heck, these idiots have even started swearing because they think it sounds tough. Beto sounds like he has Tourettes now.

● To tell you how absolutely nuts the internet left has gotten, they're furious that they could imagine the stitching in Melania's coat looking kind of like the outline of the body of an airplane, i.e. a tube, if you squint and kind of look at it just right and then do a whole lot of pretending. Clearly, Melania is a monster with some hidden message! Where was she when planes decided on their own to crash into the World Trade Center for no discernible reason? Oh, and Kobe's a monster too for not praising his daughter's team for losing a basketball game.

● The Harvey Weinstein thing keeps getting worse for the #metoo crowd. He just release a bunch of emails from a Netflix producer who claimed he raped her. In these emails, said rapee tells him that she loves him and she praises him profusely even after the rape rape. He also released some Gwenyth Paltrow stuff showing similar praise long after he supposedly assaulted her.

● The game of claiming to be raped or abused as a child or having strange diseases to get publicity/sympathy continues in Hollywood. If you need publicity, pretend to be a victim. Simple. Effective. Just make sure you step your way up. Don't reach for the best stuff at first. This week's "victims" are Demi Moore (rape at 15) and repeat offender Lea Michelle (disease).

● Huh, vaping is dangerous? Nobody could have seen that coming! Yay, Darwin.

What A Week

Last week was a real head scratcher of a week.

● Joe Biden has "guaranteed" some loser leftist protestor that he will get rid of fossil fuels. Little does she know that his plan is to burn them all. He's going to ban dinosaurs too. Seriously though, what a genuinely retarded thing to ask for and to promise. He might as well promise to feed the world unicorn meat. Someone who could honestly make such a promise lacks the mental capacity to be put in charge of anything.

● I swear to you that Hillary Clinton's newspapers must be two years behind for some reason. Whatever issue she raises is always well past its due date... always. And it's usually a year or so out of date. Well, this week she issued a statement saying that she's "inspired" by Megan Markle. The only problem is that was conventional wisdom a year ago. Now she's seen as a social climbing leftist (though not leftist enough) elitist fame hound who flies on private jets to Hollywood parties and is generally a bad carbon-foot-printed human being. Watch for Hillary to endorse this Alexandria Ocasio Cortex person: "Hillary thinks she's one to watch!"

● The NFL is back and their ratings continue to climb as the whole anti-American thing gets further in the rear view mirror. Leftism doesn't sell.

● Interesting little scandal in Hollywood last week. Second rate sitcom actress Debra Messing declared that she wanted to out Trum supports in Hollywood so they could be blacklisted. This full-in McCarthyism was too much even for her friends, who clearly refer to silently blacklist. She also "liked" an image of a church sign that said that black support for Trump is "mental illness." As so often is the case, the left returns to its Nazi roots.

Capricorn One is on Amazon Prime again. I find that movie fascinating. In particular, I am amazed at the portrayal of the press as respectful, dedicated and hardworking... all things the media is not anymore.

You Are The Problem

There's a new ad out for some interest group that has a nine year old girl retiring from soccer because she can't handle the pressure. She claims it wasn't what she expected when she joined the sport at age five. The punchline is "If 69% of girls quit one athletic sport before the age of 9, what are we doing wrong?" Well, let me explain it to you.

This one is an easy one, actually.

The number one reason is obvious: this wasn't what these girls wanted to do in the first place. Pure and simple. So rather than lament that something has gone wrong, be thankful that these girls had the good fortune to be able to quit. Isn't feminism supposed to be about choice after all? Or is it about forcing girls to do things feminists want for political reasons? Ok, I guess we know the answer to that.

In fact, I suspect that most of these girls were forced into sports against their will for political reasons, which was then affected with false promises to mothers about their girls becoming leaders and societal pressure pushing these girls through movies and advertisements... "all heroines excel at soccer." The thing is, it's all wrong. Feminists think that pushing girls into sports will somehow give them the same level of aggression that boys have, which feminists think is the basis for leadership. But that's not true. Aggression makes assholes. Confidence makes leaders. What's more, sports don't make boys aggressive. To the contrary, aggression comes naturally to boys and sports are a good way to tame or channel that aggression. So thinking that forcing a passive young girl into soccer will make her aggressive and, even further, a leader is simply wrong. All it will do is make her miserable.

So why are little girls dropping out? Because you forced them into something they didn't want and weren't built for. It's your fault feminists.

So my next question is this: what exactly is this group advocating?

They don't say, but taking the clues they give of too much pressure and parents being too in control and coaches demanding too much, it sounds like they are advocating the elimination of competition in sports. Don't set expectations... don't demand improvement... don't apply any pressure whatsoever. Maybe even eliminate scoring. That worked with the snowflakes, didn't it?

This is so typical of liberalism. To fix a problem that doesn't really exist, and is of their own making in any event, they are advocating the destruction of the thing they wanted or at least the aspects of the thing they wanted it to deliver. To save the village we must destroy the village. To get girls the benefits of playing in sports, we must restructure sports to take away the parts that give the benefits feminists want. Maybe we can just create athletic prowess and team spirit and personal discipline by executive fiat: you have learned discipline by the order of Congress!

I feel bad for girls. They are victims of so much liberal/feminist meddling. Indeed, liberal/feminists just aren't happy with girls and keep trying to re-engineer them into something that doesn't fit their natures, and I've seen the damage in generation after generation. Take the girls of the generation before mine who were told they needed careers and full-time housekeeper skills all the while accepting men as swingers. They ended up overworked, confused and abandoned. Then came my generation who were told to be like boys. They struggled with their femininity and never really became comfortable with it. The next generation was told to be single mothers like Murphy Brown, and those girls all ended up pregnant, single, poor and with out-of-control kids. Then came the snowflakes who were told they deserved CEO responsibilities on intern-level skills and are unemployed and unemployable... and still feel bad they can't play soccer. So now we're doing what to the current generation? Run girls, run.

Another One Bites The Dust

More thoughts!

● The Democrats are starting to drop like flies. Colorado Governor Hickenlooper dropped out. He ran as the bland white male governor candidate. Washington Governor Jay Islee dropped out. He ran as the bland white male governor candidate. Now Kirstin Gillibrand has dropped out. She ran as the bland white female sexual harassment fighter. Bland and white is not popular this year. Either way, there are more to come. Some very soon as many aren't qualifying for the upcoming debate. We seem to be headed toward a Biden v. Bernie v. Warren v. Harris primary. Biden v. Neapolitan... red, white and black, I guess. I would not be surprised if they ended up Biden v. Harris. Dumber and dumber.

● Saw something interesting. I saw that lesbians are opposed to Mayor Pete. They would rather have a woman than a fellow gay. This doesn't really surprise me much because lesbians are pretty anti-male, including gays. They have never played well with the rest of the "movement."

● If you believe the polls, Trump is losing big. But I don't believe the polls. The latest thinking is that white women are turning against him. I don't think that's true. The white women who voted for him are conservative voters. They are not "women voters." They don't move back and forth.

● The Epstein thing is pretty stupid. The media seems intent on convicting anyone who ever went to one of his parties of basically joining him in group sex with a chain gang of sex slaves. That's ridiculous. Never believe that the media is at all reasonable.

Stuff

Some things that have come up of late...

● Kathleen Blanco has died. She was the Governor during Katrina. Do you remember Katrina? That was when Dick Cheney conjured a hurricane that targeted only black people, George Bush refused to send troops to New Orleans to save the people who had refused to leave the city as ordered, and Donald Trump raped a bunch of black people in the Super Dome. Blanco, who must have been a Republican, allowed all of this because she was racist... oh wait, she was a Democrat. That's right. She's the one who delayed authorizing the Feds to send in the troops to rescue people. Weird. So she was really at fault? Well, and the dipshits who didn't leave and the thugs who decided to spend their time looting and raping, and the corrupt police overseen by Democratic Mayor Ray Nagin. Wow, now that I think about it, Bush and Cheney really did nothing wrong. So why do they get the blame? Hmm.

● New poll on the Redskin's name. After all the woke sportswriters gnashed their teeth and drew forth tears of great outrage to tell us how racist the name is and how we will all go to racist Hell for even using the word... most of 500 people of American Indian decent in a word association poll responded that the word they think of most when they hear "Redskins" is "proud." Grr. Don't these dumbsh*ts know they're supposed to be offended? A poll in 2016 even found that only 9% of Native Americans were offended by the word with 90% not being bothered. What is wrong with these people? Dammit. Well, never fear. Our team of liberal white sportswriter elitists will keep at it until these stupid people understand they should be offended!

● So Epstein was killed by alien contract killers who work for the Department of Fixing Things after Trump and Putin and AOC and Clinton all signed the contract to have him killed. I hear he was then strangled with his own testicles. Although, I also hear he's not dead and is living in Vegas with Elvis. Either way, he's gone. And now we hear he had a painting of Bill Clinton in a blue dress. Poor Bill. Blue is not his color. Seriously though, barf.

● Beto O'Rourke had his third relaunch... and still nobody cared. You can smell the desperate on that guy.

● Tim Cook of Apple has dinner with Donald Trump. He's also pushing for clean, family friendly films through Apple's production company. And he's talked about the dangers of technology. I'm finding this interesting. Despite being gay, is it possible Cook leans conservative?

● The Log Cabin (Gay) Republicans have endorsed Trump. They didn't before. I think that continues to verify that "gays" are leaving the political process, leaving the door open for both sides to win them individually. Even more, I think it suggests that the poison of the gay issue is disappearing.

Killer Control

The Republicans seem to be considering a nod to gun control after the latest round of shootings. I'm actually not opposed. Here's why.

For starters, let me say that I am a huge believer in individual freedom. I am also completely opposed to a liberal favorite: group punishment -- unlike liberals, I don't believe you can stop bad people and bad things by punishing good people and good things. I also know that any attempt to ban guns would be impossible, would tear apart society (the public will not surrender), and will only leave guns in the hands of bad people. I also know that even if we could somehow wish away guns tomorrow, the killing would not stop. If anything, it would get worse as these people start coming up with creative ways to take massive numbers of lives. I could kill hundreds with a simple hammer, for example, were I so inclined. Trust me, there are 300 million guns in the US, if they were the problem, you would know it. And killers kill because they are killers, not because they have guns.

So why would I agree to some form of gun control then? To be frank, there are certain people who just should not be allowed to own guns... criminals, crazy people, Democrats... and they need to be watched.

A law allowing the government to gather information on which persons may have these so-called "red flags" and keep them from owning guns while keeping an eye on them strikes me as both eminently reasonable and narrowly tailored enough not to tread on the rights of the people who should be allowed to own guns.

I know the argument against, which is that the Democrats will try to jam the whole camel under the tent once they get the nose through, but I'm not really a fan of the "the other guy can't be trusted" argument as a means for inaction. I think it is better to organize your society rationally and defend it rather than leaving a bad situation because you fear the other side might exploit it.

I also think that politically, it is much more prudent to be the rational party on this. These mass killings and other gun killings affect people in ways that other crimes simply do not. If you don't let the air out of this balloon slowly, it will pop one day and that will result in an overarching oppressive scheme. It is better to give 5% than lose 100%, and right now I think those are becoming the alternatives.

Lastly, I see this as a good opportunity to try to make some real changes which the left will not like. It's time to allow states to hold crazy people longer than 24 hours, to force mental patients to take their pills, to raise the ratings on video games and movies that use gun violence, to let victims sue media companies for copy-cat crimes, to ban the media from reporting the names of shooters or their manifestos or otherwise make heroes of these guys, to add punishments that might deter them like castration or to give their assets to their victims. None of these is a silver bullet, but each combined will have an effect on this... and each will piss off the left something fierce. They will freak out and fight every one of these, and in the process will expose themselves as not wanting to do anything to stop these killings because all they really want is to take away guns.

Liberals Behaving Badly

I love it when liberals batter each other, and there's been a lot of that lately. In fact, we just had some good ones.

● Ellen Pompeo, a leftist actress who attacked her own show "Grey's Anatomy" for not having enough minorities on staff, just got shouted down for racism. Ha ha! The irony is rich with this one. See, she was watching the Democratic debate and she didn't like that Kamala Harris was only attacking Biden because she feared that Harris was ignoring the other threats to her. So here's what she said: "She’s overconfident and believes [Biden] is her only competition." Tsk tsk. Such racism!

What racism you ask? Well, according to the internet storm that followed, it is racist to call a black woman "overconfident" because, well, that's racist. Indeed, here's one of the many representative comments slapping her down: “Black women are allowed only a certain amount of confidence. Must always yield something to whatever white man is around.”

As you can see, this is utter nonsense -- as well as being painfully written cynicism. Indeed, there is no reasonable way to read what Pompeo said as racist, and the twisted logic used to get there knowingly misconstrues what she said. What happened here is wishful victimology. These idiots saw the word "overconfident," recognized it as a criticism, realized a criticism had been lobbied at a black woman, got all hot and bothered over a victim fantasy, and screamed racism. It's ridiculously stupid. What makes this so ironically delicious is that their target is someone I guarantee you never thought she would find her back against the wall. She called out her own program for not hiring enough of them!, for Pete's sake! She's pure! She's not a racist like all those other people she criticized! How can anyone think she was being racist? Well, dumbass, because that's the world your kind has cultivated. When the left goes full intolerant, they often burn their own at the stake first, and you've been whipping them into a frenzy of intolerance. Burned by your own mob! Delicious.

And there's more...

● Noted progressive-liberal and Pluto-hater Neil deGrasse Tyson made the mistake of trying to interject some logic into the left's anti-gun tantrum after the shootings this weekend. He point out, quite correctly, that "across any 48 hours, we also lose 300 people to the flu." This is a problem-solver's thought as it attempts to frame a problem and downplay the hysteria surrounding it so a solution can be reached. The fool. The collective did not approve. Showing their shoot-the-messenger ways, scores of leftists screamed at this man on Twitter. Noted scientists and logicians rock band Smashmouth eruditely pointed out: "FUCK OFF!!!! There's your data!!!!" So very helpful.

Two things make me laugh about this. First, that Tyson thought he would be immune from hate even when going against the collective in mob mode. Heck, he's a leftist. He's even black! How can anyone on the left say such things to him?!! Clearly, he does not understand the hate-filled group-think practiced by his colleagues even against fellow leftists.

Secondly, the left loves to claim that the right hates science and they are the party of science, yet they scream down and threaten away any data that doesn't fit their narrative... just as they oppose science that is used for weapons or business, they treat unproven and discredited environmental theories as religious dogma, they treat science/research/studies/results that might lead to data they consider "racist" or "sexist" or anti-whatever-they-support to be taboo, if not criminal, and they ban any bit of science that might offend the wrong people. Not to mention, their mob mentality focuses hate on any solution or proposed solution other than the one they seek. Watch your back Neil, the death threats are next. Oh, and avoid overconfidence, Neil. Ask Ellen about that.

● The sitcom Friends which supported a pro-gay agenda in the 1990's is now being accused of being anti-gay because it used suggestions that one character was less than masculine as a source of humor. All humor will eventually find someone who wants to be offended... only the left gives them the power to push their offendedness on the rest of society.

● According to liberal NYT columnist Maureen Dowd, she and Nancy Pelosi have been smeared as "elites" by the left because during her late July interview she mentioned eating chocolates, wearing high heels, and having a book party for an author friend. Said Dowd, "If the Democratic Party is going to be against chocolate, high heels, parties and fun, you’ve lost me. And I’ve got some bad news for you about 2020." That sounds silly, but it's not. What this speaks to is the vast number of leftists who now turn their pet peeves into political attacks (particularly the body positive whiners and the anti-shamer shamers who attack people for things like not being dour enough, having money, dressing better than their lazy asses want to dress, being too successful, lacking self-doubt, and suggesting that others can succeed -- I'm not kidding, I'll write something about how telling people to fight cancer is hateful later this week). These people are the same as the race-screamers and the harassmentists... they want to remake the world in their miserable image and they see the internet thought police as the means to do that.

● Finally, we have the debate and its aftermath. Oh my. First, they attack Obama's record to smear Biden. Indeed, they hit Obama with many of the things I pointed out throughout his administration about Obama not being a good liberal: deportations, sending young black men to prison for "crimes", supporting big business, Obamacare being a sop to big insurance, etc. This brought out the Obama people to fight back. Then they smeared Biden as a segregationist and public service profiteer: "Biden's family fortunes mirrored the course of his career." Yeah, that's called "graft." They smeared Harris as a racist monster for all the young black criminals she put in jail as a prosecutor. And they smeared Buttguy for allowing racist, killer cops in his police department.

Good times! Did I miss anything?
