Laughter is The Best Medicine Caption Contest!!!

Okay, our leader is in pain and needs our help. As medical science has proven over and over, laughter is the best medicine, so it's a good day for....drum roll, please...a Caption Contest! This is an emergency, CommentaramaPeeps, so get those funnybones in gear STAT!

No one can really say why someone did this, but they did and it is sorely in need of a caption:

Let me get us started with this one:

Pardon me boys, is that the carp who ate the choo-choo?

If this doesn't work I may have to break out the really hard core stuff - videos of puppies and kittens doing cute stuff. If that doesn't work, well, I may just have to resort resort to baby penguins! I mean it. You better make this work or I will break out Cookie the Penguin, people! Oh, heck, here is Cookie anyway...who can resist a giggling penguin.

Hopefully, it will be a slow news day and we can have some fun. But if anything comes up, please feel free to change the subject...

That fish train looks like the best $20,000,000 the National Endowment for the Arts ever spent!

Critch said...

Sir, the fish cannot be stowed under your seat, it must go in the luggage car.

Now, Anthony, that is just sad, sad, sad, but true, true, true! LOL!

It's a new evolutionary milestone - a fish that can transport itself to the market. What will Monsanto think of next?

****NEWS FLASH*** Okay, I was hoping for a slow news day, but this could NOT be better news -

- This just in....the Speaker of the NY State Assembly Sheldon Silver (D/Criminal) [and "D" as THE most influential "D" in the state of NY including the Governor "D"] has been arrested as instructed by the US Attorney Preet Bharara on 5 counts of fraud, bribery and influence peddling charges...this has made my day. And I am definitely going to marry Preet when I meet him.

Oh, btw, this does not bode well for Gov. Cuomo as he is bound to get sucked into the vortex of Silver's influence peddling charges. I would not be surprised if Preet [I can call him that because we are practically engaged!] finds grounds to indict Cuomo too.

Did a little research on this art piece. It was made by Huang Yong Ping who is a contemporary French visual artist of Chinese decent. He is one of the founders of the Xiamen Dada which is a postmodernist, radical avant-garde group. To protest, the group would publically burn their works.

This piece called "Leviathanation" is a direct jab at the autocratic government in Bejing. It would have been even better if it also smelled like rotten fish. All of my information was gathered though multiple websites.

BevfromNYC said...

Gee, Koshkat, take all the fun out of it by making it known that this is serious political "Aht" against a Communist regime. ;-P But, but, I mean, it is a train with a giant fish head...

A train with a giant fish head which is covered with stuffed animals! Imagine how cool it would look if the artist burned that in protest.

The King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah ibn Abdilazīz, is now dead at age 90.
The new King is Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, age 79.

His Crown Prince, Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, is 69.

King Abdullah was around 80 when he became King.

Kit - I wonder how the dynamics will change an otherwise peaceful region?

Critch said...

My oldest son captioned it: "The Vatican's Lent Express is up and running."

BevfromNYC said...

Critch - LOL! Good one.

@ Kit... does this mean they fathered these children at 11 yrs and 10 yrs of age?

Maybe the fish train should move to S.A. there is obviously something in the water there (wherever it is)

Kit said...

Darski,

They are brothers. Saudi succession goes from brother to brother for some reason.

Alabama's ban on same-sex marriage has been overturned by a federal judge.

As a resident of Alabama, I could not care less.

AndrewPrice said...

Kit, Just so they keep their ban on inter-judicial marriage. So NO to judge on judge marriage.

Andrew -

When you're back, we're gonna have to talk about American Sniper. I haven't seen it yet but the reaction from both sides has been abso-effing-lutely nauseating. It's not even a film anymore - it's a political football and a thinkpiece for any idiot who can string two words together.

But other than that, I'm sure it's a fine film. :-)

Kit said...

Scott,

I just saw it and it was a fine film.
