No More Hillary!

Please let it end. Just let it end. Hillary announced this weekend that she’s running for the position of the first woman to make Obama look good, and frankly, I don’t care. I have Hillary fatigue. Ok, one more time...

Designated statistic oracle Nate Silver of the New York Something says that Hillary has a 50% of winning the presidency. I don’t buy it. I don’t think Hillary survives the primary. Why? Oh, let me count the ways:

(1) She’s fricken dull... and ugly. She is as exciting as getting a sweater for Christmas. She’s got no motivation to be president either. She seems tired.

(2) She’s awash in scandals, particularly scandals that resulted in her and Bill getting loaded with cash from corporate and foreign sources. This just won’t play well with the anti-rich crowd who staff the Democratic primary.

(3) She’s gaffe prone... and pissy... and a liar. Her people are incompetent too. When she launched this weekend, her website was apparently a mess of mistakes. Her book tour was a disaster. Every time she opens her mouth in public, she inserts her foot.

(4) She’s a corporate shill. Her leftist credentials are faked and the left has finally realized this. SNL keeps mocking the crap out of her. Leftist blogs are screaming to be rid of her in favor of a true believer.

(5) Her lack of friends is becoming acute, especially with so many of them publicly avoiding helping her now. Obama and John Kerry both refused to speak well of her this week, as did Mayor de Blasio of NYC. All those people are ready to jump ship to O’Malley at the first safe chance. Even her feminist friends in the publishing industry have stopped protecting her. Just this week, they let a book be published in which White House non-political staff gave their stories about their decades of service. Hillary was horribly presented as nearly psychotic, paranoid and just not a decent human being.

(6) Her record is nonexistent despite holding a number of jobs. And what little she is known for is things like being squeezed out of her duties at the State Department as Obama told jokes about her drunk texting him... or lying about her mistakes.

(7) The liberal MSM is starting to get a giant liberal woody for O’Malley. Once they start writing fantasy articles about him being the new JFK, Hillary is done... and they started that last month.

(8) Clinton fatigue. More people have it than chicken pox. Good God, there isn’t another political figure who bores me more at this point. Obama is fricken Batman and Darth Vader combined by comparison. I would rather read a book on the growth of mold colonies than listen to her speak. This isn’t even political (because I have no idea what her views really are... assuming she has any), she just doesn’t have enough personality to make me even the slightest bit interested in seeing her. All I know is that she’s like the promise of another Adam Sandler film... or a two day standardized test.

So can we please be done with her? Hillary, please spare us. Just go away.

Totally agree. There isn't a candidate in recent memory who is less inspiring than Hillary. And my recent memory still carries Bob Dole, Al Gore, and John Kerry. May as well throw in H. W. Bush, too. Hillary's only advantage is that millennials don't know any of those names, but that's a pretty sad advantage. And a 50% chance!? That's incredibly weak for a democrat. Dems only win when election day comes before their favorable numbers fall below half. What an incredibly weak candidate she is!

The Democrats reaction to Hillary reminds me of the more optimistic reactions on the Right to McCain and Romney; "Do we have to?"

Exellent assessment, Andrew.
Oddly, I have read many liberals saying that Hillary is too conservative, lol.
Compared to who?

I think most voters are tired of hearing about Hillary's version of "gender issues" as well.

As a resident of O'Malleys home state, I don't think he has the charisma to upset Hillary's applecart.

The utterly bland Hillary is a horrible candidate who is going to continue to fail to inspire, but the Republicans might have the same problem (Bush vs Clinton 3 is a real possibility) and even if their candidate is a non-Bush Clinton might convince a majority of voters she is the least of all evils through a highly negative campaign.

Anthony, It's less to do with whether O'Malley is actually charismatic and more what the media can convince voters of. Hillary is old, old news whereas O'Malley is a near blank slate. (Look how bland Obama turned out to be.)

If we see BvC3, I daresay Jeb has the edge. His press coverage gives him an air of mystique. "Who is this Bush?" Whereas Clinton's coverage wavers between "I suppose it's Hillary's turn" to "Ugh! Her?"

Look, the Dems will run a woman...they must. They have been shifting gears for a year now change the not so subtle narrative from "racism" to "sexism" in the "if you disagree with _____, you are obviously...." But fortunately, the Dems don't HAVE any other women who aren't NOT boring. But Elizabeth Warren will try...

Yes, I agree with your entire post, it's all valid. Hillary Clinton is more crooked than a dog's hind leg, and I think that fact is well known. She's slimy, and nobody, not even a retarded pinko liberal, wants to elect a president who is 'pissy.' And she is about as pissy as pissy gets. Pissiness oozes from Hillary's every pore.

tryanmax, She is the most boring candidate I can ever remember, and like you I remember Gore and Dole and Bush 1... and Mondale! Even worse, the one thing she has which the others didn't (except maybe robot Gore) is the pissyness factor. When she does speak, it's like nails on a chalkboard. She speaks like the Hollywood version of the evil school marm... "Sit down and be quiet class!"

AndrewPrice said...

Kit, I see no genuine love for her. There seems to be a sense of, as you say, "if we don't have any other choice, then we'll do it."

AndrewPrice said...

Ben, That's Hillary's biggest problem on the left. On every single issue, she's stayed with the conservative position until it became clear that it was safe to shift to the liberal position. That's why they don't trust her.

AndrewPrice said...

Anthony, The GOP certainly faces that problem. As hard as it may be to believe, but the GOP has to be seen as the underdog in this race.

As for O'Malley, the key will be his handlers and the MSM. So far, the MSM is painting him very nicely as a musician and a hip Kennedy-like white guy who has managed to win over a black city. They are careful not to let him interfere with the narrative.

If he catches on with the activists, and he seems to be, then Hillary is in real trouble.

AndrewPrice said...

tryanmax, The MSM seems to be having a problem attacking Bush3 right now. I guess we'll see how long that lasts, but they have yet to find a real solid point of attack.

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, Maybe O'Malley can announce that he's gay?

AndrewPrice said...

Critch, Tell me about it. She's the last person I want to see on my tv for any length of time.

AndrewPrice said...

Fredd, She is pissy and it shows up at all the worst times... times when the public can see it.

Conservatives and Republicans would do better to let the lefties dot their dirty work for them. They will tear her to shreds on their own with their penchant for playing "whack-a-mole". Let them take on Hillary themselves and let Hillary shred right back,. It's best to keep it to party in-fighting. Those left of center don't like her and really, really want Elizabeth Warren to run. Though I cannot for the life of me figure out why except her presumed anti-Wall Street/outsider-ishness. They tend to love their one trick ponies (See: Wendy Davis, Sandra Fluke etc.).

EricP said...

Exactly, Bev. Let them play the intra-squad savaging game our side's so unfortunately attuned to every four years.

Any Hillary supporter has the same contempt for rule of law as well as We the People, and damned if I'm not going to call them out for that at every applicable occasion, either before or after sharing this column with them. As usual, well played, AP!

Tryanmax,

Regarding O'Malley, the media can alter perceptions somewhat, nbut I don't think they can turn lead into gold. If they could we would have had President Dukakis, President Gore and President Kerry.

I agree that people aren't as sick of Jeb Bush as they are of Hillary, but every post-Reagan a Republican president has been a Bush so I'd say both their names probably cause most people to say 'Again, really?'.

tryanmax said...

Anthony, fair point about Jeb. On O'Malley, I'll have to see how it unfolds. I've already seen it several times where the national media has successfully taken Nebraska candidates and painted the insider as the outsider and vice versa.

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, Agreed. Conservatives need to step back and let the cat fight take her down. The more we stay out of the news cycle, the more damage the left inflicts upon its own.

AndrewPrice said...

Thanks Eric! Words cannot express how much I don't want to ever see Hillary again. She really just needs to go away.

AndrewPrice said...

tryanmax and Anthony, I'm not sure how the public will swing between those two. I suspect they will go with Bush because he comes across as dour and dull, but competent. Hillary comes across as angry and fake in addition to super dull.

As for O'Malley, don't underestimate the new formula, which is to say nothing and do nothing and let everyone else talk about how much they weep when they touch your vestments.

Guys like Gore and Dukakis made the mistake of trying to show how fun they really were. Obama has shown the better way.. be unknowable.
