Google is inventing an ap that will chat with your friends so you don't need to use the brain power to spew inane comments anymore. It will do it for you. I see it now: a group of useless losers all turning their phones to autoidiocy because they are all too lazy to talk to each other. I can't even get my head around this. They have made a machine to take over your time wasting. What are these fools going to do now? Sit in the closet and masturbate as their phones handle their friendships? There are no words...

OMG, it is going one step beyond. I am...scared now.
My sister in law was telling that her two teens are always communicating with their friends by text. When one of them went to a physical meetup with a group of her friends, they literally had nothing to say to each other. My SIL has always limited their kids' e-time.
But this...well, unless it can clean my bathroom or make my bed. I already have a robot vacuum (great), but I still have to turn it on...GAH!
Bev, I honestly have no words for how much this creeps me out.
On a related point, my youngest communicates by text. I've take her and her friends to go skating or the movies or whatnot and they all sit in the back in total silence texting to each other. It's like a cult.
Confession: I haven't talked to anyone in years. All my online interactions are actually algorithm-based replies that draw on the immediate context as well as trending topics on social media. The process is seamless, making my digital presence seem completely natu--fish sticks and tater tots and strawberry quik.
LOL! Bravo.
The Florida thing is awful. 21 dead when an expelled student came back with a gun.
As sad as it may be, I think it's time they made it much harder to get into schools.
Andrew - What is really confounding about the shooting is the interviews with students/teachers/administrators who knew this perp was thought of as someone who could do this. And there was nothing done or could be done to head this off at the pass as they say. I say this over and over and over. The issues not a gun access problem, it is a mental health problem. And the reports in the aftermath with come out that someone most likely a parent or guardian tried to get him help, but being over 18, no one could force any kind of mental health treatment and prevention.
Bev, Let me put my suggestions in an article because not everyone reads the comments. Give me about 30 minutes or so.
