A World of Idiots

Pure stupidity today...

● I can't find the article, but apparently Hillary Clinton is now convinced that the delusional Right's "Deep State" exists, was run by Comey, and actually sought to destroy her (not Trump). This is beyond the point of parody.

● A High School in New York has cancelled their senior play because a white girl was chosen to play Esmeralda in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. That's probably a good thing as we don't want to offend hunchbacks. Still, the reasoning is utter racist crap. If minorities can play "white roles," why can't whites play minority roles? Not to mention, Esmeralda is either Spanish, i.e. white, or a Gypsy, i.e. whites. So this is crap either way. Stupid.

● Then there's the high school that cancelled the daddy daughter dance because they despise alliteration because they thought it was sexist to honor only daddies and daughters. Way to go feminists! Let's interfere with the relationships of girls with their fathers.

● Oh oh. I saw an article this weekend that discussed one of my predictions coming true. Professional woman are suddenly finding that their male bosses won't deal with them alone without a witness. They are now worried that they are being hurt by the #metoo list. Yep. Leftist actions always hurt the people they claim to want to help. Feminism: one pretend step forward, five back. Maybe they should stick to theater-blocking white girls and keeping girls from connecting with their fathers.

● Speaking of idiot feminists, the Prime Minister of Canada (a pretend country that lives under our protection) stopped a gurl at a college speech from asking her question when she said the word "mankind." PM Wuss noted that "peoplekind" is more inclusive. My response? First, where is your pussy hat, Mr/s PM? Secondly, are you saying my dog is not a person, PM Asshole? How dare you exclude non-hupeople with your hate-speech, bitch? Go f** a moose.

● Hillary Clinton whined today that global warming will force women into domestic roles. Apparently, when the earth turns to a crisp, men will send their wives to hunt for food. Damn. She's onto us menfolk peoplefolk. That was indeed our plan, to destroy the earth so we could be lazy and let our wives do all the work.

● The MercuryNews ran the following headline: "Single-payer provides best cure for California health care". Close. A more accurate headline would be: "Single-payer provides best cure for California". Do it my friends... do it.

What a world.

Hillary is calling hers the Invisible State.

Well a couple thoughts, Andrew. 1) yeah, I think everybody except feminists realized how the "me too" movement would eventually over reach. As you put it so well, "they always hurt the people they claim to be helping." 2) I see long time Clinton apologist Lanny Davis has written a book claiming studies prove the last minute wiener e-mail release cost her the win. Really? The truth is she broke the law due to her private server, and the Obama justice department did a sham investigation spear headed by Andy. He intimidated rank and file who knew pissing him off was a career ended. Even Comey went along because he liked his job, and did not want to piss her off since he and everyone else assumed she would not be prosecuted and would win, and holds grudges. 3) the p.c. Bullshit be it at schools or Canada is so far out of control it is frightening. 4) I recorded the interview of Trey Gowdy last night and watched it this morning. I really like that guy, believe he is a rare honest politician. He had tears welling when he talked about how his wife has sacrificed for his career, and that it was time to pay some of that back. I can't fault him, but will miss him

● Apparently the phrase "invisible state" turns up in a new book by Lanny Davis, titled The Unmaking of the President 2016: How FBI Director James Comey Cost Hillary Clinton the Presidency. LINK There's no doubt that Lanny means "deep state" as he uses the phrase in what is an even bigger howler: that the alt-right is "right-wing communications complex" led by Rudy Giuliani and Fox News and is connected to a "subterranean anti-Clinton network."

● Feminists: "All men are rapists. Also, I demand a private, one-on-one meeting."

● What is so wrong with domestic roles? And if domestic roles are so bad, why are we forcing the noble brown people who just want a better life to do them? I think it's time for white women to "step back" and liberate the noble moderately-melaninated people by doing their own cooking and cleaning.

● The saddest day of my life is when I learned that California won't actually break off into the sea, but will merely slide down to Mexico, who can have it.

I just want to point with some "pride" that the HS play cancellation AND the Father/Daughter dance cancellation were both in New York! Take that suckahs...oh, wait.

As for the play cancellation at Ithaca HS (next to Cornell Univ), the SJWs-n-training cites "non-traditional casting" as the reason 'cause it's racist. Uh, say what???

You see, I came into the theatre game during first the push for "NTC" in the '70's-'80's. It was a good thing. What it did was to promote...TALENTED PEOPLE who otherwise would be passed over in casting for reason of "tradition". So, that we could otherwise look to talent first/then traditional issues like race, size, disabilities, etc. You know, be more open and
and, you know, creative.

Btw , they got this idea from Broadway, where casting a PWOC* to replace a POC who he himself replaced a famous PWOC...caused the show to close and put 100s of people out of work including many POC. Seriously...

Also, just to be fair, sometimes NTC was not used wisely or with any thought to the play. Like the time the director cast BF/GF characters in a Tennessee Williams play set in the South in the'50's as "non-traditional" mixed race couple. It made no sense and actually distracted from the theme of the play. But hey, it was a start.

tryamax, Regarding the Deep State, all I can think is...

There is a plot...

There is a plot within the United States Government itself...

This plot is the gravest danger the United States has ever faced. A secret government deep within a secret government which secretly runs the US Government... in secret (except Trump and Clinton know about it, but nobody else except basement dwelling computer users!) It plans to somethingsomething and control elections!

Only one man/woman can save us... Steele Hammerthrottle, a former agent for an agency so secret not even the President knows it's name. Let's just say it's above the NSA and the CIA but below the Department of Education, buried deep within the Department of Deep Secret State.

Can Hammerthrottle save America before it's too late? Can he save the trans-woman who loves him from flying Montana Monkeys? Is his carbon footprint too high?

Who the hell knows, but a lot of CGI crap is going to blow up in the last forty minutes!!

Jed, I think it's amazing that the left never catches on. Whoever they claim to want to help gets screwed... every... single... time. How dumb are they not to notice this?

tryanmax, I'm all in favor of sending California home to Mexico. Heck, the people are already there, so why not let them keep it?

The feminist thing is so typically liberal. They don't understand cause and effect. So they do something ("I grant myself the power to ruin careers decades later without any proof!). Then they end up shocked that their victims move to protect themselves. Soon, they'll try granting themselves some new power to undo the fix, which will lead to another "unexpected" (yet obvious) reaction. Wash, rinse repeat.

Oh yeah, the right-wing communications complex. I've been there. It's in Branson, Missouri, deep beneath Dollyworld. They have a cool broadcast room which can broadcast into the fillings of crazy people.

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, Thanks for the discussion of PWOCs and POCs and NTCs. LOL!

Seriously, I have nothing against non-traditional casting, when it's done right. But the idea should be to open up theater to increase the talent, not to shut down shows because some intolerant a-hole got upset that their prejudices weren't catered to.

As an aside, when they do NTC, it needs to make sense. Making Doctor Who a woman is nonsense because the character already is male and the show is designed to have a male doctor and female companions -- switching this will create an ugly dynamic.

By comparison, who cares what color James Bond is? But, don't give me women in WWII combat platoons, blacks as slave holders in the South, or Matt Damon in Medieval China.

BevfromNYC said...

Andrew, that was the point of "non-traditional casting" to begin with! To be MORE open, not to shut down shows. It just goes to show you that for every forward thinking/mindopening idea, there's always a point of where the hijacking/corruption begins. See: pretty much every great, forward-thinking idea...ever.

Endnote: OMG! Wouldn't Idris Elba make a faaabuuuulous James Bond???

What makes you think this is an unintended outcome? It's not about actually helping people, it's about creating grievances where none exist, and perpetuating those that already exist.

The Me too thing doesn't shock me. Most things have a cost. The question is if less harassment is worth less mentoring. Of course if one thinks there is no problem the answer is 'Of course not' but opinions differ and it's not clear this study will change anyone's calculations.

Speaking of costs I've been reading editorials from deficit hawks complaining about the latest budget (we owe 20 trillion dollars and our pace of borrowing is accelerating). It's an unimaginable number but I confess I don't have nightmares about a Mad Max style post meltdown America or anything.

When you owe that much repayment is clearly a sham that all the key players (including creditors) are willing to play along with. Ending the charade would be painful for everyone and benefit no one so why end it? Not that less government spending wouldn't be good, but neither voters, the American government (both parties) nor creditors have an interest in it in the foreseeable future.

BevfromNYC said...

Mike_C - The only problem with that I have noticed that the Left isn't really known for long-term thinking. And most of their ideas to come from the 12-22 age group...who WOULDN"t want to get the same free stuff that that age group usually gets from a parental figure?

But I get you point, and I may be not giving them enough credit. I can say that in the race/gender grievance wars, the Left HAS to keep that going because if who will continue to pay for the grievance committee? Al Sharpton makes biiiiig bucks doing what he does...well, except for that tax evasion issue...

BevfromNYC said...

Andrew - read something about that last night. All I saw was a headline and an arm with some SJW slogan on it...

The problem is they complain about men hitting them and harassing them and having the burden of being beautiful and and getting paid a bagillion dollars to pose nearly nude and it's not fair.

seriously do...not...seem...to...get...it that MEN REALLY LIKE NAKED WOMEN AND THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET THEM TO TAKE OFF THEIR CLOTHES....?
I keep going back to Aristophanes comedy - Lysistrata Even Ancient Greek women understood that if they withhold sex (and getting naked) and stuff they could end wars...

Look, I'd buy their argument (maybe) if they were more like Hedy Lamarr who developed radio guidance systems. She was more than just a pretty face and body...

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, I made the comment into an argument with a couple other ideas.

Bev, That was an awesome video. Well worth checking out.

Hi Mike! On the one hand, I'm not sure that they are intentionally advocating things that don't work so much as they don't care if they work or not. On the other hand, I do know that they don't want to solve the problems of their people or else they would lose the votes. So maybe you are right!

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, Idris Elba would make an awesome James Bond! :)

Anthony, It's shocking the #metoo crowd. They actually never considered that anyone would react to their conduct. Very short sighted.
