Little Big Shots

I was going to write something meaningful, life-changing, and totally relevant probably about Comey or something. But, I got sidetracked by turning on my TV and tuning into a show called "Little Big Shots" hosted by Steve Harvey. Have any of you seen this show?

I have watched it before and am always caught off guard by how wholesome it is. If you haven't seen it, Steve Harvey (a modern day Art Linkletter) interviews children around the world who are on the show to show off their various and sundry talents gleened from Youtube videos and Facebook postings - singers, dancers, athletes, and some are just amazing public speakers. But what all of them have one thingk in common - they are just down-to-earth kids mostly between the ages of 5-16 who are extremely respectful, wholesome, and amazingly talented.

Here is a sample from tonight's show:

The voice of angel! And I love that the interpretor for the non-English speaking children are other children. It's just a wonderful.

And this kid...a future President?

It's just heartwarming, and hopeful for the world's future. With all of the bad, negative crap in the world, it's great to see really something postive and wholesome that families can watch together without fear. And, from the advertising, there is going to be a version hosted by Steve Harvey with the over-80 crowd showing off their talent that just shows that "It ain't over until it's over!"

Anyway, back to reality. The floor is open.

I apologize for all of the typos starting with the title. I failed "proofreading" in, well, life.

Anyway, is anyone watching the Comey hearing or as I like to call it "THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL AGAIN"...

No, but I saw George Takei tweet, "Karma Karma Karma Karma Comey-lee-unn" which is just—*sigh*

So, Comey says he leaked the memos in response to Trump's May 12th tweet, which reads:

James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!
— Donald J. Trump‏ @realDonaldTrump 7:26 AM - 12 May 2017

On May 11th, NYTimes published this article—In a Private Dinner, Trump Demanded Loyalty. Comey Demurred—which details the same information as the contents of the memo.

For comparison, the memo can be found HERE.

I don't know that it's a smoking gun that Comey perjured himself, as it is readily admitted that the memos were circulated within the FBI prior to being leaked to the press, but the timeline doesn't look good.

Ola, Bev! Thanks for the pick me up!

So what I take away from the Comey thing is this.

1. The left things they found the smoking gun because... because... because Comey said he tried to influence him! TRUMP IS EVIL!

2. Comey came across looking like a weirdo. "Lordy, I'm an idiot." Admitting that he leaked memos will be what he is remembered for. He just crapped on Obama's legacy. And how poor his grasp of law and his duties was. This guy ran the FBI? Yikes.

3. The public won't change their mind.

4. Alan Dershowitz made the point that legally, Trump could have pardoned anyone involved and ended this or he could even have ordered the FBI not to investigate. So there is no possibility of a crime here.

Waste of time.

Britain may be headed for disaster after the election. It looks like their government will either be crippled or dumped entirely.

1. Didn't expect any surprises and didn't get any. I confess I read a few articles rather than watched the hearing itself.

Trump is running his administration like he ran his campaign so chaos, foolish tweets (Remember why I said I fired Comey, I lied) and acrimonious departures are going to be regular things.

2. Labour surging (though it sounds like Conservatives still have most of the seats) in the UK elections is wild. They were moderate under Blair but eventually went back to their hard left ever bigger government roots. The British electorate has been full of surprises lately.
