Final Debate Thread

Home stretch people, home stretch. Tonight is the last debate. . . thankfully. Tonight is about foreign policy, which probably means ratings of between 14-18 people. In that regard, we now have a CIA memo which blows a hole in the Obama Administration plan to blame the intelligence community. Obama seems to have decided that less than 4 deaths per embassy is optimal. And Joe Biden is looking for veterans of our recent wars with Iraq and Iran. . . idiot.

It looks like Obama wasn't able to gain any momentum from the last debate so tonight could be critical. Maybe he should talk about the 47% of Pakistanis Romney hates. . . or the 57 states he's visited since he became a professional golfer president.

Romney by a nose.

I think Romney won 55/45.

Reaganesque?

I want to be able to read lips for moments like that one...

Jon, Very.

I want to say, Romney for the part I was here for, but I could be biased. I think he came off as the stronger person, though Obama did get a few zingers in.

Sadly, I must give the worst tie prize to Romney. It just seemed old-mannish. Obama's was the most modern and, while Bob's was also old-mannish, Bob is an authentically old man.

Time to do a wrap up....

Agreed, Romney more strong, concise.

Haha, Andrew! 55/45!

I think no one should have any problems with how Bob ran this debate. He was great.

Romney wins by just being better. Obama was scattered and kept repeating the same tired campaign tripe.

I agree, it was the "same tired campaign tripe." The question is, will the general audience see it that way? Or were they busy watching sports?

The talking heads have all missed the point. They are still looking for fireworks. That's not what the people are after.

BevfromNYC said...

Well, kids, I'm outta here. Go Romney!!

tryanmax said...

Sorry, I watching the idiots on regular NBC. They've just got nothing to say. G'Nite, all.

tryanmax said...

Oh, one last thought: I wish the talking heads would stop calling everything "facts" even when they are not certain. As in, "there were a lot of facts thrown out tonight, now we need to check which ones are accurate." If there is question about the accuracy, it is not a "fact" it is merely an "assertion." /rant

Okay, G'nite for real.

Hey guys

HAd to go out but listened to the debate on the radio.

So the one OBamagaffe I got to address is the number of ships.

Since when is a naval going vessel an obsolete vehicle. I did not know that the giant flying aair craft carrier seen in the Avengers movie was now a standard of the US military...

But wait that is not the only idocy in his comments there is even more...

Aircraft Carriers and Submarines are ships... Yessir they are well technically a submarine is still classified as boat even though it is over the 70 plus foot mark but they count as ships for the purpose of what Romney was talking about.

Kust had to add that as the crickets chirp 1/2 hour after the debate.
