Shut up.A sad event happened recently at the University of Wyoming, where some people on our side had the bad taste to go after a liberal blogger and make hateful comments about her online. The left-wing student activist, Meg Lanker-Simons, had her Facebook page smeared, with conservatives saying things like "I want to hate f@#$ [her] so hard. That chick that runs her liberal mouth all the time and doesn't care who knows it....One night with me and shes gonna be a good Republican @#$%&."
Guys, this is uncool. It's okay to get down in the mud with liberal hacks sometimes, but making profane and personal attacks, especially involving their sexuality, is way out of bounds. Our opponents need to be treated with respect and......

U. of W. police issued a citation to Lanker-Simons Monday for filing a false police report, after she created the fake post in question, pretending it came from a conservative, and then making a statement to the opposite effect. Nice.
Oh, and also, as usual, some people have automatically rallied to her defense, stating "Meg Lanker-Simons is innocent we believe what she did was justified." Anyone recognize the contradiction in that statement? Lanker-Simons is a member of something called The Nonviolent Communist, so I'm guessing she for one does not.
Personally, I blame this silliness on the beets. Wyoming grows lots of beets, and beets are awful, so they probably made her go crazy.

The glowy stuff is great - I can add black light pets to my room full of black light posters. Groovy! They'd have to have a genetic fondness for incense as well, though.

Maybe the girl is into self-abuse...a failing of most progressives, and she merely projected. I'm sure that her progressive therapist would explain in terms that make no sense, why it's ok for a liberal to blame people by hacking her own facebook page.
One day that girl will run for President of the United States and who knows but what she'll win.

But...like Sandra ("slut") Fluke, she now has her liberal national identity, and thus is set for life. The liberal hive will buzz around her, trying to "understand" what would push someone as intelligent as her to flip out and do something like that. All will agree that the pervasive conservative, misogynist society we are forced to live in must have caused her sweet little heart to break and she let loose her wildest fantasies.........and what's wrong with that?!
Unfortunately, there is probably nothing the law can hold her on, other than lying to the police about a device of her own making. She'll be be let free and forever be a liberal "activist." As LL states, maybe one day she'll become President in spite of the hate-filled right wing press.
Meh. She clearly lacked conviction. The really dedicated carve letters or even whole phrases into their bodies, take beatings and blame others (the same way Scorpio did in Dirty Harry) and one women even set herself on fire.

There are other interesting facts about Ms.Lanker-Simons. In 2010, she gained momentary fame when she and a guy named Bill Ayers (why is that name familiar??) brought suit against the University of Wyoming after the school denied access to Mr. Ayers to give a speech.
Oh, and her Tumblr blog "Cognitive Dissonance" was given top 5 billing by Think Progress.
I'm guessing she was looking for a way to drum up visitors to her website or she was needing a little attention.

I'm sure there was a lot of conformist social pressure on her, though. Whenever independent-minded young women are fighting the system, it always tries to crush them. Maybe that's how she can be "innocent" and justified in her actions at the same time. Or maybe logic is just a tool of bourgeois right-wingers. Probably the latter.
LL, I suppose self-abuse is better than abuse of others, which is what usually happens when progressives find themselves in positions of power. So don't even joke about her becoming President. Besides, who wants to have a "President Lanker-Simons"?!?!

The spy would be clever but at the same time barely able to understand the ways of humans. He would have a fake identity and his origins would be confused. He would want us to cancel our defense programs, promote crazies and incompetents to positions of power, ruin our economy and abort as many humans as possible.

Just saw Iron Man 3, far and away the best movie in the series in terms of action (the first in the series with a meaty final battle) and some of the dialogue and events are hilarious.
