Sorry folks. Things have erupted with our youngest again in an ugly way. I will do my best to post articles, but I may miss a few. I really am sorry about this.
Praying your family can find lasting solutions to help your daughter before she does something that causes her some permanent harm. Praying, too, that the rest of you can withstand the pressures and remain strong and united and can get some relief from the stress. It can take a big toll, I know.
Thanks Stacy. I'm at a total loss as to why she's doing the things she's doing. But she's basically under house arrest now. Can't be alone. No friends (not that she has any left). No phone/internet. We're even making her sleep in our bedroom.
GypsyTyger, I keep telling myself that one day we will look back and laugh, but right now it's pretty tough. If we ever go to war, the military should launch her at the enemy. They'll surrender in days.
I feel for you, Andrew. I may have mentioned it on here before, but our daughter moved out at 17 and now is not speaking to us. Our son on the other hand has been a breeze. Take all the time you need - we'll be here when you get back.
We got the suicide threats under control. I've taken her phone too, cutting her off from the "gentlemen" she's been "talking" to. She's fixed the rifts with her friends and is willing to go back to school. We've gotten a psychologist to help with underlying issues. So far so good.
But we're now dealing with sinus infection, allergic reaction to antibiotics, and fracture on hand (yesterday).
This is all part of 2019 though, which began with a dead dog, a funeral for a friend, an expensive new furnace, a cousin needing emergency back surgery, a tooth that may need surgery, and a half dozen similar things. Is it 2020 yet?
Seriously, all of this better add up to significant future good karma... lottery winning karma.
Nothing like a crap start to the new year, huh? Yours definitely takes the cake for craziness! Just do what you and your family need to do, Andrew. We'll all be here.

Sometimes the best you can do is strap in for the ride. Loving your kids doesn't mean you'll always like them.
There's no apology needed. Do what you need to do and don't worry about the time you need, we'll all be here.

tryanmax, Sadly, there's no "like" left. At least her father is finally involved.
GypsyTyger, Thanks!
Andrew; I raised three of them. The "like" comes and goes. It's gone for right now, It'll come back.
